OCI renewal got stuck in NYC Emabassy- due to VFS is closed
I have a travel plan by next week, my kids OCI is printed and got stuck in NYC embassy due to VFS office closed for Corona virus case increase at NYC.
Now i dont have any option to take my kid with me. E-Visa also suspended. i cannot give any emergency certificate for him alone.
it is driving me crazy. I dont have OCI as it is submitted for renewal process, i cannot apply E-Visa. How can i take my kids along with me to India.
If anyone have any solution, please update me.

I think there are a bunch of people for whom their OCI was dispatched from MEA (OCI), New Delhi on March 16th and hasn't been received yet at SFO.

E-Visa while PCI in process for minor
Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has applied for E-Visa while their OCI is in process. I applied for my child and it is under process. But we are planning to visit India next month and I am not sure if I will receive OCI by then. Does anyone go through this process? If my OCI is approved, will by E-Visa be cancelled while my kid is in India? Would it cause any issues?

NY only OCI applicants tracking....
I am noticing people from other CGI especially SFO and Chicago are getting their OCI processed quicker than NY. I noticed the acknowledgment date later than mine (Feb 19th) have already been processed. The delay might be only to folks from NY. We should just start a thread only for NY applicants to track progress. Anyone has updates from NY? Please reply. Getting anxious here!

What is VFS SFO email? and Missing doc question
I had got missing document (name change affidavit) email from VFS last Saturday for my new adult OCI application and was told to send it within 7 days, and I mailed them via USPS which was delivered yesterday morning (Wednesday), but VFS hasn't updated my application status, is there a direct email to them? I am guessing may be they will update it by tomorrow but then if they don't then I don't want to risk it and was thinking I should send them document via email also, am I supposed to upload this name change affidavit on government site also? They didn't mention anything like that

Minor new oci
In the process filling application for my minor child .Plse advice on whether the minors passport copy needs to be notarized with both parents signatures and also does all the copy of the documents needs to be self attested before uploading to the oci site?

Parental Authorization for Minor
We had sent the parental authorization for minor form that we downloaded from the link in the OCI checklist. Application was received on 3/22 by VFS. Today, I got a mail that the authorization form that we sent is not for OCI. I downloaded the latest again from this link https://www.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/india/united-states-of-america/oci-services/index.html#oci-valid-pio.
The only difference I see is the form saying that we authorize for issuance of OCI for minor instead of Renuncification Certificate/Declaration for minor.
The issue I have now is, this new form doesn't allow me to fill the data using Adobe Pro DC while the earlier form allowed it. Has anyone had luck with filling it?
Can I print and write the information instead of filling it on the PDF. Appreciate any help on this.
