OCI in lieu of PIO Minor - affidavit in lieu of originals
While applying for OCI in lieu of Minor, there is a form "affidavit in lieu of originals" that need to be filled.
My questions:
1) Whose name needs to be filled in the swearing, the parents name or the minors' name? I am applying for my 8 year old child?
2) And this name would need to be filled in the first line and the line that says
"Subscribed and sworn to by ___________ before me on the _______ day of ______________, ____" right?
3) And I guess the last part in the above line is asking for the date of signing?
4) And there is another line below asking for a "Signature". Who needs to sign there? The person named above? (Parent or child?)
5) And there is another line asking for "Printed Name". Whose name would go there?
Any help appreciated!

Entry Visa, SF Embassy
Anyone here recently apply for an entry visa and get it? How long did it take? OCI is taking too long so I've applied, unsure if they will grant it as it is not for a death/medical reason but a different emergency. The SF Embassy advised me to apply.

Entry visa to india
I have to travel to India on or around April 15th due to some medical emergency in the family and I do not have OCI card yet.. Can I apply for Entry visa now but travel around April 15th? I dont know what the immigration says or questions on travel plans.
Also I will be applying for an Entry visa for me and my kid. Can I use the same email address for both the individual applications?

OCI processing Taking forever any experiences?
My OCI was under process at Embassy since Dec 10, 2020 and today is March 14th, 2021. Well over 10 week and past 3 months now. I get no response from VFS and Indian Embassy in SFO. No Phone contact or email reply emails.

Change of address during OCI renewal
Hi, while using OCI renewal, I have, selected change of passport and change of address particulars in OCI miscellaneous services. While filling the government online form it did not ask me to enter my new address. It asked me to enter my current OCI card number and automatically picked up my old address that is present on that card. Does anyone know where to enter the new address? Thanks.

Travel to India by Minor using old OCI card but new passport
Hi,
My kids (minor) have OCI but got new passport now. I have read that oci cardholders can travel to India before 30th June based on the strength of the old passport+oci+new passport. We are traveling on June 3rd but returning to US on July 4th.
My question is will Indian immigration authorities create any issue while returning to US since the return travel date is after June 30th.
Will Indian immigration officials care about OCI since my kids have US passport while returning.
Please let me know if anyone experienced this in the past.

GOI Status Enquiry states “No such record found”
New OCI Adult, VFS NY
On March 3rd, I received my passport
On March 4th, VFS Status changed to “ Your application has reached at the Embassy/Consulate and is currently under process”
As of today, March 11th, GOI Status Enquiry still states “No Such Record Found”
Anyone with a similar timeline/VFS Status able to see their status on the GOI site? Any advice for me?

Questions on OCI Application

I am submitting new OCI application for my minor child. I have below questions. Would appreciate if I can get clarity on these.
1. On the Printed OCI application, should I afffix the photo on top of the printed picture on top right corner of first page? Should the thumb print / signature be visible once the photo is affixed?
2. The digital signature appears clear, but when printed along with the application, looks very light. Is this an issue? Connecting to question above, should the signature be visible after the photo is affixed on the first page?
3. VFS has requested 2 copies of photo. Are these two on top of the one affixed on the application form?

OCI new adult application: Question
Hello,
I submitted online forms on gov website and realized for my parents name I didn't put their middle name in gov form, just put their first and last name as per the passport but passport has middle name too, so would that be a problem? :( Please advise. IN my Indian passport last page, parents name have middle name too..so I am worried, what can I do? It won't let me edit now, will my application get rejected?
