As part of the documentation for minor new OCI application, does I-797 receipt notice can be submitted instead of i797 approval notice. Due to covid, USCIS is taking too long to process H4 extensions and is still under processing. Please advise.

New OCI Card - Delayed - NYC
I'm seeing this status "Your application has been forwarded to the Embassy/Consulate for processing" since 2 months (New OCI Minor). I tried calling VFS Couple times they have escalated the issue but it seems useless. I'm really not sure what to do next? Is anyone else in same boat?

I submitted my baby New OCI application on Nov 24 2020 and we got confirmation on Dec 5 2020 saying that "We have Received’ your Application and your Application is now ‘Under Process’ at ICAC in Consulate General of India, NY." From then the status is same that "your application has been forwarded to embassy". Its been over 80 days and we didn't get any updates of my baby application. We tried calling the customer service center several times to know the status of the OCI card most of the time they said that the application issue has escalated to the higher authority (several times) the same answer we got from them every time and I still see same status. Because of this issue we postponed twice our travel to India. I even submitted my query on PRAMIT (Indian Newyork Consulate website). As of today Feb, 28, 2021. I didn't received any updates from VFS. Can someone explain/help me what to do in this situation.

Does anyone know how long it is taking for VFS NYK to ship approved OCI back?
OCI approved on govt site 02/25.
Have to book tickets for travel around March 20 so wondering if i will get it by then.

OCI Reissue - Notarizing questions
Got new passports (myself, husband, son) in winter 2020. Have to apply for OCI reissue.
Got color copies of our passports.
1. Should Notarizing passports be from a Bank or the UPS store or Federal notary?
2. Bank notary and UPS notary won't attest (seal and sign) on every color copy of the passport. (We visited Banks and UPS store).
Can anyone give clear-cut steps please?

My husband experience of oci
My husband apply for oci on 30/01/2021
Recieved application by vfs on 2/02/2021
His embassy acknowledged date is 09/02/2021
But his us passport is not send back by the embassy till today .anyone know what exactly happen in houston embassy . Can anyone help me on this. What can i do for it.

2/11/2021 - Received confirmation email from VFS that they received application and it is under process.
2/12/2021 - Application is Under Process on Indian OCI site
2/13/2021 - Passport is received.
I was not able to track my application on VFS site and keep getting Invalid Inputs. It worked only when I put my Date of Birth in MM/DD/YYYY format after 2/14/2021

New OCI Application
I am applying for my new OCI card next week. The documents which we have to send to VFS, for the proof of Indian origin do I need to send just the copy of last-held Indian passport or Voter ID as well. I never received Voter ID in India. Thanks

OCI Reissue - Need help
I am trying to apply for OCI reissue after issuance of new passport after age 50 and in the checklist for adult they ask for "Proof of Particulars Changed" . What document do I need to submit for this part? I got a new passport and the number has changed so not sure what they require. Anyone with experience or have done in the past please let me know. Thank you.
