OCI Renewal due to age 50
1. A relative first got OCI in 2007
2. Now she is 52 and has US passport expiring in 2026
3. She has applied to re-issue OCI (due to age 50 rule) because the rules seem confusing to wait till 2026 or not.
The question is Will she need to apply again to re-issue in 2026 when she gets a new US passport? I realize they keep changing rules and new bizzarre requirements for documents... despite the Lifetime Visa that OCI supposedly is.

New OCI for Newborn
Submitted on 15th Dec at VHS Global Washington DC office via Fedex.
Received a notification to submit more documents on 23rd Dec,2020.
Submitted all pending docs and received by VHS Global, Washington DC on 29th Dec.
As of now 22 Jan, 2021- no update neither on website nor on email.
Have submitted original passport of my newborn as well so kind of clueless situation and have no idea where to go and ask?

Jan 18 : OCI Application processed at VFS in transit to Atlanta embassy
Jan 19 : OCI Application reached Atlanta embassy for decision making
Jan 19 : OCI Application Under Process .
Jan 20 : Received original passport via fedex

VFS SFO for OCI timeline
Hello, Has anyone heard back from VFS SFO while applying in December? How long did it take for the passport to come back? It has been 3 weeks now.

To all the enthusiastic american citizenship applicants, please dont change your name keep it as it as in your indian passport, or else indian administartion will make your life hell. with all the unnecessary documents requirement. i am not sure why they need more proof name change ceremony was done infront of the judge and in a court room

Stuck on proof of address
I’m traveling and my address is different than the utility bill address. Has anyone been able to receive the paperwork back to a different address than their utility addresss?

Atlanta VFS
Hi,
Anybody recently had any update from Atlanta VFS ? I see delays with them starting Jan 1st.
There are no updates of any sort from them, the contact center sends me a standard response that they are working on it, the application is stuck at VFS and did not make it to embassy.
