VFS says will dispatch in 24-48 hours
My case is similar to many others who are waiting for their oci to be shipped by VFS. I got an update on Jan 26 that the OCI will be dispatched within 24-48 hours "provided you had purchased or sent the return label." I sent them one return label and $15 money order (for passport return). However, they used the return label for passport return. I am wondering do I need to send them another label or will they use $15 amount (I money ordered them) to ship the OCI? When do they email about return label generally?

When i didnot get response from VFS, i used the twitter handle of our embassy.It is available on the embassy's website. I am not able to post link here. This has worked in my case and hope it works for all needy forumites. Best luck.

Minor OCI at New York Consulate
18 Jan - Filled and Completed the application
19 Jan - FedEx delivered at New York Consulate
26 Jan - No communication From VFS and unable to check the status on VFS website ( Invalid inputs)
Main concern about my son's original passport, Customer care and these firms/offices are taking full benefit of pandemic for delaying everything without any proper justifications.
Please suggest your timelines and responses from VFS so we all guess ours too...

Oci Card at Washington DC.
After taking up matter with Embassy, I got my OCI delivered within 24 hours. Thanks to embassy officials.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALONG WITH MY OCI I WAS DELIVERED ONE MORE OCI CARD. THE PACKET HAS MY ADDRESS BUT THE NAME IS (not fully mentioning for the protection of identity) Mrs. S. PAWAR. IF ANYBODY HAPPEN TO KNOW HER OR THE FAMILY PERSON MAY CONTACT ME. I HAD ALREADY INFORMED VFS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS MISTAKE.MY EMAIL ID is [email protected].

OCI for the first time after 50
My concern is that the OCI card does not say that OCI obtained for the first time after turning 50 need not be re-issued all.
They omitted that part.
Is it wise to expect the airline staff to know this rule or should I swear at the Indian bureaucracy and get OCI re-issued with every new passport anyways?
Anyone with a negative experience with this rule?

Is there anyone who are still waiting for the OCI card to be shipped from the VFS after it was received from embassy? I got an email from the VFS saying they will dispatch with 24-48 hours but its been more than 4 days and till today still they haven't given the package FEDEX(paid the shipping invoice).
