N400 Security Checks / Background Check???
Hi All,
I submitted a service request with USCIS to inquire about my N400 application. I completed my interview at the Buffalo Field Office on Aug 27, 2020 but no decision made yet. I got a response stating that they are still waiting for the necessary security checks before they can make a final decision. Does anyone have an idea how long these security check/name check take?? This is frustrating!

Possible Interview accomodations
Hey everyone, my online case status gives an approximate case completion date on April 2021. I suppose that the interview maybe around April 2021. I’m expecting my baby in April 2021. Is it possible if I can give a headsup to uscis about my pregnancy/ health condition so they can call me either before or after my due date?
I’m hesitating to call and let them know because nobody likes severe case delays. Any suggestions?

Marriage and name change
Has anyone got married while applying for citizenship? I was thinking of waiting to become a US citizen before getting married, but my case is taking soooo long that I think I will not wait. So I would like to know if you [or anyone you know] has gone through this experience of getting married AFTER filing but BEFORE the interview. My last name will be different after marriage. It is a weird situation, but it's been many months now since I applied and no biometrics yet.

Houston - Forms Filled

Naturalization Completed
I submitted by N400 application Sept 2019 shortly I got the conditions removed on my Green Card and did my biometrics Oct of the same year. By March this year, I got the interview letter but it got de-scheduled due to Covid. So, the interview took place in August and not April as it was originally scheduled. For the first time during my immigration process, the USCIS asked for more evidence and it was just because a few things have changed and within a day of me sending them the documents, my case was approved and I was scheduled for the Oath Ceremony.
I am now a United States Citizen and I have since registered to vote and applied for my passport.
I give all the glory to God and if you are still waiting, I pray things will move quickly for you because I know what it feels like to wait and wait and wait.

N400 Dallas Field Office, Online application
I applied online Nov 2019 and had biometrics taken December 2019. Since then no update or change. Should I email or call USCIS knowing that the Dallas office processing time states 11-17 months? Anyone else has heard anything about interview at Dallas office? Thanks

N400 carrying document original
I and my spouse have n400 interviews on the same day 30 min apart. Is it ok if one of us carries the original documents like our marriage certificate and the other one just carries photocopy?
