DEPORTATION TO ECUADOR - WHAT TO EXPECT
I've been detained few weeks ago and released next day on supervisory until 11/20 court date on B Felony charges. I'm afraid regardless of minimizing charges to lowest felony or even misdemeanor, still immigration will look at deportation and I have following questions: what am I to expect in Ecuador my country in relation to these charges if deported? Am I going to be sent to jail if found guilty in USA and deported? Or do charges and record remain in USA's jurisdiction? I'm just looking at what would be the worse scenario in this situation. I'm a green card holder for over 30 years with my family of 4 children and wife all born in USA but never applied for citizenship. Thanks in advance for your comments.

N-400 Interview
June 1- Submitted online appliccation
August 7- Biometrics reuse
August 25 - Interview Scheduled
October 1 - Interview day

I had my interview today at Cleveland, Ohio. Interview time was 1:30, I got there at 1:00 pm and waited for 15 mins in the lobby since they don't allow you to go through the security checks until 15 mins before your appointment. At 1:15pm I went to room 501. Gave my appointment notice and then at exactly 1:30 pm, the officer called my me. We proceed to his office, I sworn to tell the truth then he asked me my current green card and if I have the old one and I said yes, so he took the old one and said I didn't need it anymore. He verified my name, address, date of birth and current job. Asked information about my husband, when we got married and trips outside the US.

He then told me that he will be testing my civics knowledge. He asked me these 6 six questions- I can't remember the 6th question, we were talking too fast and I was so anxious lol

One right of a US citizen
Who was President during the Great Depression and World War II
Name one branch of goverment
When do we celebrate Independence Day
What ocean is in the West Coast

He made me read the sentence on the tablet- Who can vote?

Then made me write on the table- Citizens can vote.

He asked me all the questions in Part 12 of the N-400 form.

After that, he gave a piece of paper saying that I passed and is recommended for approval. He also said I will get a notice for the oath ceremony within 30 days. I was out of the building by 1:40pm.

N400 Houston / Interview completed / waiting for oath ceremony
I completed my naturalization interview yesterday 09/30/20 at the Houston office. The whole experience was good- officer was nice. At the end of the interview, the officer gave me a print out stating the I passed the civic test, etc., and he is recommending approval of my naturalization application. He mentioned that I will get the oath ceremony letter in mail, but can't say when exactly they will be sending the letter or when the oath ceremony date will be.

This morning I received an update in my email about status update in USCIS website. I checked my USCIS account. It had the following status updates:

**You attended your interview September 30, 2020**
You do not need to do anything at this time
We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application

**We approved your application September 30, 2020**
Your final step to becoming a citizen is to attend your naturalization ceremony
We will mail you a letter when we schedule your naturalization ceremony.

But to my surprise, the "Estimated case completion time" that was shown until before my interview which was December 2020, is now updated to "March 2022 (17 months)". Is that usual to have such a waiting time between interview and the oath ceremony or this is just an approximate timeline? Did anyone interviewed at Houston had similar experience like this recently, but got their oath ceremony scheduled at a closer date (from the time of interview) and became US citizen? Please share your experience so that I can be little relaxed about this too long wait time showing on my case status. I appreciate your responses.

citizenship
I would like to know if there is any impediment for me to apply for citizenship if my husband, who is the American citizen, stays most of the time in another country. He stays there to take care of the sick father. Thanks

Naturalization Under 3-Year Rule
Hi: Could someone kindly help me with an answer? Can my wife who got her Green Card 4 years ago through my petition when I was Green Card holder myself now apply for naturalization under the 3-year rule since I became a US citizen myself 3 years ago?

Should I go to the interview or Not
Hello Everyone,
I filed for naturalization based on marriage in December 2019. I have an interview on 10/06/20. However, I am divorced now. When I applied for citizenship I was in a martial union.
So my question is should I go for the interview?
P.S I have my permanent GC. I spoke with my lawyer and he said that the most Immiigration Officer can reject your case. Does anyone have any experience with this situation?
