I have applied N400 online in September 2019
Biometric was done on October 2019.
Since no update .... Online status is saying "We are taking longer than expected to process your case." NO DEADLINE to complete the case.
Any One get schedule Between June and July 2020 in NYC are?

N400 name change
Here's my experience regarding name change on the N400 application- I opted out at the time of the interview. In fact that was the very first question from the officer whether I want to wait for the court's availability for a judicial oath ceremony versus getting it done at the USCIS as soon as the next ceremony was offered. Given the current circumstances, they are indeed welcoming the idea and not put you on hold. Again it depends on the state. While some states offer them round the year many do not and clearly not a good option in AL where I applied.
Also your local probate court can do that anytime and you could even do that while your N400 is pending. If you can get it done and bring the certified court order with you to the interview they are going to accept it and have the new name reflected on the naturalization certificate. Good luck!

What documents do I need to submit with N400 (5 years eligibility), I have filed for only 4 years. Came in Oct 2015

Hello my interview was on the 15th of July 2020 which I attended and passed both English and history test and the officer congratulated me and gave me a paper that said my application was approved. But when I check only it’s still saying interview was scheduled. Anyone had such experience?

Naturalization interview next week with conditional GC and divorced, serving in US army
My Naturalization interview is next week and I am currently on Conditional GC which I got through my ex. unfortunately, my marriage fell apart few months ago. At the time of submitting my application, I was married, divorce happened after sending my application.
My Naturalization interview has been scheduled based on my Military status as I am serving in US army reserves right now.
Having Conditional GC and being divorced will cause issues during the interview?

Oath ceremony at Detroit Michigan
Hello all,
I am finally a U.S citizen. My actual oath ceremony was canceled on march 16th due to Covid-19. They scheduled my oath on july 7th for today in Detroit field office. It was a drive through ceremony and a federal judge took the oath from applicants. It was a very smooth process. No pictures or family but I am glad that the process is completed. It was long road. Whoever is waiting for oath ceremony good luck to them. It wont be long for you guys. God bless America.
