N400 application while I 751 pending
I want to share my experience - if any one applied for N400 while 751 is pending . Please make sure that you take your spouse and all evidences required for 751 when you attend your N400 interview.

The notice for interview for N400 will not mention to bring any I751 evidences or spouse with you. I went alone and had a bad experience . If you do not take your spouse or documents (recent evidences as the 751 process is severely delayed ) N400 will not be processed .

Hope this helps.

Notice of Interview
Hello,
(San Antonio, TX office)
- Applied for N400 via the paper form on Sep 16 2019.
- Got NOA on Sep 30 2019.
- Biometric appointment Notice on Oct 14 2019.
- Biometric appointment itself on Oct 23 2019.
- We have done the background check on Oct 27 2019
- I got a notice online that my appointment has been scheduled Nov 27 2019.

But the problem is I have not got the photocopy of the mail yet, and I don't know when the interview is.
I have travel plans around Christmas, and I am scared the interview is going to be very close to the New Year day!
My question is: How long after the notice do you usually get the interview itself?
Thank you!!

Case Transferred to Field Office from USCIS
Hey fellow applicants,

I filed N400 in October last year (2018). In January 2019, my case status was updated with "We transferred your case to another USCIS field office for review." It says view the letter under documents tab for an explanation as to why we transferred your case. When I go to Documents tab, I don't see that letter. I called USCIS and told them there is no letter under Documents but they said that my case is normal and I should just wait.

Also, the estimated completion time of my case has essentially come to an end. And the status says "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time."

Can anyone please help me with similar experiences and what you guys did to address this issue?

I already did the service request but i don't know what is going to happen next.

If anyone can share similar experiences, it would be greatly appreciated.

N400
Hi everyone,

I want to share my whole experience On here because this site has helped me a lot. Btw, I filed through the San Jose office.

May 30, 2019 - Application received (via online)

June 1, 2019 - Biometrics scheduled

June 11, 2019 - Biometrics
Come in as soon as you can. It’s a first come first serve basis. This process was quick, just picture and finger prints.

October 10, 2019 - Interview Scheduled
I was surprised how soon it came because my est. time was June 2020 and after it changed to Jan 2020. Not accurate at all.

November 18, 2019 - Interview
This time it was definitely not a first come first serve. They go by according to your scheduled time. I had to wait 1.5 hours to be called in! We went through my application really quick then went straight to the civics test. I had really easy questions and my English is really fluent so we finished within a few mins. Being that I have not traveled outside the US since I’ve been here and I’ve never been married or have kids so not much to talk about. We were done in literally 10 mins! There was an upcoming oath ceremony in a week so she scheduled me for that one and gave me the letter that same day! I was so glad!

November 26, 2019 - Oath ceremony
It lasted 1.5 hours from the time they opened the doors. It was a lot of waiting around for everyone to get checked in and be seated and few speakers. They took our GC then We took the oath and handed us our citizenship certificate. I didn’t stay around for the passport cos I had work shortly after.

I was one of the few lucky ones who had a smooth process, even my IO was surprised on how fast mine went. Good luck everyone!
