Houston Field office experience
Hello guys, hope my experience will help you all who are waiting for interview. I applied in March 2019 based on my 5 years being GC holder. I got gc thru my marriage . My ex husband is born citizen but our marriage took wrong turn after our daughter was born. There were so much drama and harrassment happend and ultimately I left home. It was with in two years of our marriage . I did not have gc for 10 years and then I applied for gc without conditons but as seperated. I am so glad that i went through one of the best lawyer in Houston and she helped me alot. I got my 10 year GC in a year .
For citizenship also I went thru my lawyer and things went very smooth and good. During my citizenship interview the officer was very good. She did not laugh or smile at all but she was pretty starightforward. She did not ask me what happened during my marriage but she asked to provide her divorce decree. Going thru good lawyer matters alot specially cases like mine. My laywer already sent whole summary of domestic violence happend during my marriage to immigration during my gc application. The officer during my interview was an older lady and asked 6 questions of history and civics and asked where I work .
Interview lasted 20 mins and she asked me if I want to change my name. Which I said yes and she told me that my name change will be effective on date of oath and they will give me a paper. Then she told me I passed English test and she has approved my case and recommended for oath. I will be recieving oath letter with in next few days. I was so happy. Finally my journey with usics is ending and since begining I always have good experiences with them .
With in 10 mins of approval I got notification on my usics tracker app that i was recommended for oath but my case has been send for quality review. I was like why? But when I went to my car and start driving i got another notification that my case have been approved and they placed me in line for oath. I was very impressed. so now quality review notification is in my history. And latest update is i am in line for Oath. All hepened within 15 mins. I would like to thanks my lawyer and USICS . Anyone who has any doubts while applying for gc or citizenship please go thru lawyer. Your status in USA is more important than money.

03/04/2019 - application received
04/27/2019 - status update " we are processing your application actively . At this time nothing is outstanding .
09/27/2019 - we have scheduled your interview.
11/01/2019 - interview happened . Online status updated to " we have placed you in line for oath "

N-400 Baltimore field office
Good morning guys,

Any help with this question will be appreciated. I attended my interview for naturalization on October 10th 2019 and was recommended for approval. The IO told me and my lawyer that I should receive my oat ceremony letter in a week or two but I have yet to receive it.

I check my status online at myaccount.uscis.gov and it states that ( you do not need to do anything at this time) we will let you know if we need anything else from you. However in my documents tab there is a request for evidence. When clicking on the link to view the document an error appears (500 Error) . Has anyone experienced this? By the way the letter was sent on the 18th of October and I have yet to receive it..

Earlier today, 10/31/2019, I did the interview in Irving officer. The IO was very nice and professional.
First part is the civic and language part. The second part is going through my application. I disclosed that I forgot to include my Canada trip since I was driving there and they did not stamp my passport.

She told me that my application was approved and the ceremony would be on 11/21/2019 in Plano. She could not print the ceremony letter since she is having printer issue but she give me an approval letter and told me that the oath ceremony letter will be in the mail.

I checked tonight and my status has change per my timeline posted above.

By the way, I have been a greencard for almost 10 years which my gc is expiring this December

Eligibility date not sure
Hi everyone, so my husband is currently a LPR and just waiting to complete his 5 years requirement to apply for naturalization.

He became a green card holder on 1st September 2015. But he left the country for 10 months after in order to complete his last year in college and graduate.

He returned back to the US on 10th August 2016 and has been staying and working here even since. Would he still qualify to apply for naturalization in 2020? I have read some things about the 4 years and 1 day rule but not too sure about it. Any help would be appreciated!

Oath Ceremony Reschedule Dallas
Does anyone in Dallas area have experience with rescheduling oath ceremony? I have been waiting for my oath ceremony since last 3 weeks. I had a pre-planned international trip before my interview was scheduled. The trip is near and I am afraid the ceremony is going to be scheduled when I am out of country. I tried explaining to my interviewing officer after passing the interview but she said she cannot schedule it. I also called 1-800 number 3 times after but they keep saying that I am in line for oath ceremony and there is nothing they can do.
