Newark Office Naturalization Interview
I attended my naturalization interview in Newark, NJ office on April 13. My appointment was at 7 am and my name was called around 9:15 am. I passed the civic and English tests and the officer went over the application with me and asked questions. He told me that everything looked good but he could not make a decision since he hadn't received my complete file from Nebraska Service Center. I was told I would be getting a letter in 30-60 days about their decision when my file is reviewed or they would let me know if I needed to provide more info or documents. He also mentioned that I might be asked to come back for a second interview but he said it was unlikely. I was very disappointed that after waiting for over a year I had to wait even longer. Has anyone had the same experience (with Newark office in particular)? Your insight will be greatly appreciated.

Forum regarding New York and 2019 delays
Is there another forum or website where we can exchange based on locations?

In NY, CA and TX, times are doubled since 2019.

I'd be interested in exchanging with people from NYC and within my application time frame.

***Unfortunately reading about cases in other states than yours or from last year is completely irrelevant info and not a point of reference***

I already passed my citizenship interview but received a letter saying I need to go back to complete
Hi,

I had my naturalization interview on April 6, 2019 and I was given a paper that I passed and my application is recommended for approval.
Yesterday, April 12, 2019 I received a letter in the mail saying I need to come back in the office on May 9, 2019 in connection with an official matter. The reason for the appointment is to complete the questions on form n400 application.

I have had called the uscis customer service and I was it might be a system glitch because there is nothing wrong with my application and status online. But I was still advised to report on scheduled date.

Has anyone experienced this?

Atlanta - Almost 120 days passing interview!
My filing date was last 1/12/2018. Interview date was 12/13/2018. Interview went very well, but I was handed over a paper saying decision cannot be made. Officer was nice and told me that the reason he could not recommend for approval was that my fingerprints during the interview could not go through system. Then comes long wait......! Almost 120 days after interview now, still not result!!

Called USCIS and reached an level 2 officer who is so nice and put in a service ticket for me a couple weeks ago. But I then got email back from them saying that I am under a background check now and they could do nothing about my case! This is quite ridiculous now! I am a legal immigrant with straight simple background, no criminal records at all, always paid tax on time. What the heck is going on? What are they checking that needs so much time??? I am speechless!!

I appreciate you have any suggestions that could possibly speed up the process. The only reason that I am so anxious is that I need a US passport to travel in next few months. Otherwise, I have to apply visas to those countries again, which is a big hassle for me!

Thanks
