Need Passport for N400 Biometrics Appt?
Hello everyone,

I am wondering if using passport as the form of ID for the biometrics appointment is a must. Here is my timeline so far:

Office: SF Bay Area (San Jose)
Application filed: 3/20
Biometrics appt scheduled: 4/15

For a business travel, I applied for UK visa today and gave my passport away for the visa application. It is likely that I won’t receive my passport back before the 4/15 biometrics appointment. The USCIS website says a form of ID (driver license, passport etc) is needed along with the Green card. I am wondering - even though it’s not mentioned as a must have for the appointment - if we are expected to present our passport during this appointment.

Thank you and good luck to us all!

San Diego office
waiting after interview...

Timeline:
PD: 04/30/2018
FP: 05/25/2018
Interview scheduled: 03/07/2019
Interview: 03/27/2019

Interview went fine except the IO's computer was really slow so it took ~30 mins.. In the end IO said interview was fine but interview scheduled very fast, some other checks need to be finished, thus decision can not be made yet... I assume all the background check should be completed before they schedule interview, right? Any other filers in San Diego interviewed at the same time frame and still waiting for the result?

West Palm Beach Office
I need an advise on what my next step should be :( Thanks to everyone in advance for contributing to this post.

I had my interview on November 6, 2018 at the west palm beach field office and got a “decision cannot be made” due to my long travel history. However, none of my trips were longer than 6 months and I had maintained my continuous residency throughout. The officer said that she would have to review my application to see if everything seems right and would need an approval from her supervisor due to which she cannot approve my application at this point in time. She said I would be receiving a letter in mail soon. It has been 154 days today and I did not hear a word from them regarding their decision.

I had called the USCIS customer service line multiple times and they asked me to wait till I complete 120 days. After completion of 120 days, I called again and the officer put a service request to the west palm beach field office. I received a letter saying “we are still reviewing your application, and you will receive a notice as soon as we make a decision”. I called the USCIS customer service line again after one week and they just told me to wait and said that scheduling an infopass would not make any difference since the infopass session would provide me with the same information as they did over the phone. I don’t know what to do at this point in time. My sisters and mother who applied with me had the same travel history and were approved the same day. But whenever I state this, I get to hear that everything is done on an individual basis, which I completely understand. But why is it taking so long to make a decision? My application is pretty straightforward. Please share your experience if it is similar and advise if I should still schedule an infopass or not. Thank you :)

Houston Filer - Interview but no update
Hi,
If you have similar situation. I have an interview on 04/2/19. Interview went very well. At the end, office told me that I have passed the interview but he can not give the approval since they are having issue with their system. He assured me not to worry, and ask me to wait for the latter. He gave me 2 papers, one where has mark on, "passed the written test" & "Decision can not be made at this time". Other was location and direction of the place for Oath.

After one week, USCIS has not updated. Still says WE HAVE SCHEDULED your interview.

Does any one in Houston, TX has similar experience?
When can i expect to receive the letter & what is the normal wait time for Oath after Interview?

if you have similar experience, you input highly appreciated.

Thank you,
SAM
