WASHINGTON—President Trump has declared Wednesday, Dec. 5, a national day of mourning to remember the life and legacy of George H.W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States. Accordingly, all U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices will be closed Wednesday. USCIS will reschedule all naturalization ceremonies, interviews, and appointments set for that day.
USCIS will schedule new dates and promptly inform those affected. All applicants with biometric appointments scheduled for Wednesday will receive a new appointment notice within three weeks

I just wanted to share my experience of applying online for my N400 from Boston.
9/3/18 applied online
9/7/18 biometrics appointment scheduled
9/24/18 biometrics appointment & reviewed
3/12/18 interview scheduled
1/11/19 interview
My N400 was through marriage, my eligibility was on12/3/18, so I applied as early as allowed (9/3/19). Based on other timelines I expected my interview notice a bit earlier than 12/3/18, I imagine in cases like mine that they won't create an appointment until you are officially entitled to citizenship. Anyway, not overly bothered, it's been a fairly quick, trouble free process so far.

I completed my N-400 Interview successfully on Nov 16. How long does it take to receive the Oath Ceremony letter? The online status shows"Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" since Nov 17.

Chicago oath complete
Hello all - I am happy to let you all know that after exactly 4 months of waiting since my interview I completed my oath ceremony. Here is my timeline again for the benefit of others.
Submitted application - 9/1/2017
Finger Prinitng - 9/25/2017
Interview for spouse - 7/12/2018 (Decision cannot be made)
Interview for myself- 7/13/2018 (Decision cannot be made)
Oath ceremony for spouse- 9/27/2018
Oath ceremony for myself - 11/13/2018
We did not contact USCIS anytime after the interview and it just took its own course.
So if you have no criminal record but still got a 'Decision cannot be made' , dont lose hope. I think they are just taking longer to process. Good luck all.
PS - My spouse applied for passport on 9/28/2018 under regular processing and got it on 10/19/2018

My status changed to oath nyc
I had my interview Nov 20 and 2 days ago my status changed. Is saying oath scheduled and will bring my letter in mail. I didn't expect so soon I'm so happy .the officer said you have to wait 2 months but they schedule the date so fast.im so excited I cant wait
