N400 interview results Miami office
So I had my interview 8 months after my fingerprints were taken.
It was very stressful this whole wait, called several times and well after all they scheduled my interview
The interview went pretty good, the officer was nice and kind and the questions are the easiest thing in the world
So I didn't really had troubles with that. The only thing is that when he finished he gave me a letter saying congrats
You are recommended for approval. Made me wait outside and then told me because of the many trips I've taken
Outside the US he couldn't give an answer so he gave another paper that says decision can not be made at this moment. So that just let me in the air. I've been waiting for so long and then no reason to still keep me waiting after interview. So folks if there is anyone with same situation or know how long does it usually take to schedule an oath ceremony after decision cannot be made. Advises are greatly appreciated. I'll make a big **** party to celebrate when this whole thing is done.

Denver Field Office
I got emotional support from this site. I wanted to share my experience to give somebody hope and keep the faith.

PD: 07/22/2016
Finger Print: 08/15/2016
Interview: 08/17/2017, that is over twelve months after submission of application. Then the agonizing part; interview result; decision cannot be made. Online status stayed:Interview was scheduled. 2.5 weeks later, oath notice received in the mail. Oath taken. I have been a citizen for the last one month, but my online status still states: "Interview was Scheduled".

For those who have been waiting for a long time, keep checking your physical mailing boxes as well.

Thanks to everyone on this forum.

I'm a Citizen!
I've been reading this forum for quite a while and it was very helpful to me.

NYC Field Office
I applied in March 2017
Application received 3//17/2017
Finger print 4/2017
Interview 08/1/2017
Oath 9/29/2017

I did not get my oath letter until after I called in making inquiries. The IO told me that my ceremony would be mid sept which came and went with no letter or update to my status online so I decided to call. They told me to keep waiting and the letter came a week later.

I also did a name change.
The ceremony was good but there were so many people that it took almost 3 hours to collect all of the letters and green cards.

I went straight to the passport office in Manhattan after the ceremony and applied for an expedited passport (Friday) and received it on Monday.

I am so glad that this process is over. It was very nerve racking because there is very little communication.

All the persons I dealt with along the way were all very professional and helpful.
There was no need to be worried but I must admit that I did just because of the uncertainty.
God speed to you all! The longest rope has an end. It will come through for you as well.

Oath Ceremony Schedule?
Hi,

I had my interview on August 11th for naturalization. On August 24th my case was updated online and since August 24th it says '' you are placed in line for oath ceremony ...... ''

Most people I know received a letter or notification for their oath ceremony in 2 to 3 weeks after their interview. I am waiting for oath ceremony schedule in Chicago since August 24th. It has been more than 6 weeks now and so far no news from immigration office.

Does anyone has similar experience in Chicago? How long does it take to be scheduled for oath ceremony? I need to travel with US passport very soon.

Thanks.
