Any Columbus field office filers?
Hi..Ifiledfor my citizenship in July & had my birometrics done in Aug. 2 days after my biometrics my status changed to in line for interview..it's been 6 weeks since my status changed to in line..I know it takes 5-6 months to schedule an interview.. I need to travel internationally in January..I'm hoping I could get this process done by January mid .. it does seem like Columbus is one of the offices that is fast which per USCIS is processing February cases.. but I know that is not accurate.. Imtrying to see if there are any Columbus filers & how long it took to get their interview..Also any idea how often Columbus schedules interviews?I saw Cleveland had scheduled published in their sites but nothing much for Columbus. Appreciate any info. Thanks

Interview
I pass my interview on 9/21/17
My question is the officer give me back my green card, I thought they keep it?
And second he gave me a paper to do my oath in 9/27/17 but on the website still like your interview is schedule.
Any ideas why is this?

If you are in line for your oath ceremony does that mean your application was approved?
If you passed you interview and you were recommended for approval and your online status says "you have been placed in line for your oath ceremony" does that mean your application was approved and the supervisors are done looking at your case?

What happens after the interview process?
What exactly happens to your file after the interview process? Does anyone here know or are we just guessing? The reason I'm aski is some people are scheduled for heir oath ceremonies immediately and some are not. Why is this?

Travelling
Dallas TX field office

-Apllication received by field office 11/15/2016
-Fingerprint done 12/23/2016
-Case changed to inline for interview 09/07/2017

Here is my question:
My current Green Card is still valid for another 9 years and I have a trip coming up in March 2018, maybe I get my citizenship till then maybe not, but if I am not a citizen till then what happens if I travel out of country for 3 weeks?

Is it going to be a problem since I don't have it on my N-400 or will any problem occur if I travel overseas while my status is pending for citizenship?

Please advise, Thank you guys.

Taxes
I have a question. So I got my GC towards the end of 2012 and never worked till February the following year. When I went to file for taxes the tax person said since I did not make over $3000 the whole year I didn't need to file for any. I should show 5 year taxes but I only have 4 since I didn't file for 2012.

Does anyone know if this will give me an issue during interview? And if you know or are aware of how to handle this your help will be appreciated.

my slow timeline - Seattle office
Application received: Feb 14, 2017

Biometrics: March 15, 2017

... (nothing since then, no updates).
Has said "case is in line for an interview" since 3/17.

Today is September 21, over six months since the last action. Starting to wonder if something is wrong. Feeling pretty disappointed. Sounds like it's been extremely fast for some people (4 months or less from start to finish).
