Advice: a long international travel while awaiting
As I live in Iowa, I guess my Field Office is Des Moines IA. Correct me if this is wrong.

03/15/2017: received Form N-400
03/20/2017: scheduled for a fingerprint appointment
04/10/2017: started the interview scheduling process
No update since then.

I am planning an overseas trip to in February 2018 and stay outside for multiple months, and my green card will expire in May 2018. My questions:
(1) How likely will I get the interview and/or oath ceremony done before February 2018?
(2) If I travel, and come back for the interview/oath ceremony. Is there any risk?
(3) Will I be asked to return my green card at the interview?

Second interview
I filed another time for citizenship because they denied me last month.
My question is : Does it take another 6 months between FP & interview?
Any body had this situation ?

Oakland Park field office
Hello,
I've seen a few experiences from other people from the Oakland Park office in FL.
I applied in December 2016, and my case has been in line for an interview since January. Can anyone else from the Oakland Park field office share their timeline or experience?
Would really appreciate it! Thank you!

Name change
Does anyone knows if name is changed at interview what the delay time frame would be before oath is taken? If few days to a couple weeks then I may proceed with name change. If several months then I may not. Thanks

Any Columbus field office filers?
Hi..Ifiledfor my citizenship in July & had my birometrics done in Aug. 2 days after my biometrics my status changed to in line for interview..it's been 6 weeks since my status changed to in line..I know it takes 5-6 months to schedule an interview.. I need to travel internationally in January..I'm hoping I could get this process done by January mid .. it does seem like Columbus is one of the offices that is fast which per USCIS is processing February cases.. but I know that is not accurate.. Imtrying to see if there are any Columbus filers & how long it took to get their interview..Also any idea how often Columbus schedules interviews?I saw Cleveland had scheduled published in their sites but nothing much for Columbus. Appreciate any info. Thanks
