Houston Hield Office
Hello everyone,

My PD 9/8/2016 & FP 10/3/2016 I went for a info pass and talk to the L2 officer as well over the phone. What I found out is that they are taking longer time on males for background check than kids and woman's that's why you are seeing ladies who have applied last year in Aug, Sept, Nov & Dec 2016 has already gotten there interview as for mans they are doing as processing date on there website which is May 30th 2016 for Houston TX which doesn't make sense to me but that's what it is so far. All I can say it just to wait, wait & wait until your turn comes normally all the Texas field office are taking 10 to 13 months to process your case. Good luck

Photographs at the interview
I've applied with my wife and daughter in later October. Two of them were invited to interview which took place today (Apr.24, 2017). My daughter was asked to submit two photographs after her interview (which she passed). She had to go to nearest place that makes instant photos (20 minutes walk), then walk back and submit the photo to the officer.

This is unusual, I think, but the instructions state that the officer may ask for photos at the interview. So, all within regulations, but seems unusual. Anyone else had a similar experience?

As for me, my online status still says, fingerprinting scheduled, even though I've done it in mid-November. No news since then. Hopefully, I'll get my interview soon.

My status has new update - Atlanta N400
And I have another update.

USCIS received case - Oct 4th 2016
Biometrics appointment - Nov 3rd 2016
In line for interview notification - Nov 7th 2016
Interview scheduled - Apr 18th 2017
Interview date - May 24th 2017

I have received the Interview date. So much relief! What about oath ceremony - is it on the same day as interview date? And do you receive the passport on the same day? How long does this take?

I am very excited by this change in status and am hoping for a speedy interview, oath ceremony and passport process.

Thanks to all of your help people and praying for your process to happen smoothly too.

someone belong san francisco field office
What the processing time window for san francisco now actually ? (not the one on the website). I thought it past august right? My husband's PD is 08/11/2016 and he is still waiting for the interview letter. But next 20 or 30 cases after him got interview scheduled.

His background check is clear knowing though L2 officer. L2 officer just said it might be big volume of applicants in San Francisco. but it is hard to understand why other cases after him got interview scheduled ? when is his turn? there are someone are at same boat?

Thanks!

Houston N-400
Alright, guys, I think I'm has done with this.... Just saw a guy from **** * got interview letter on April-20. His PD was May-20-2016. So Now, Whoever did not receive any interview letter yet will wait At least 1 year and a month to finish their N400. 11 moths of waiting for interview letter + 1 month of interview + 1 month of waiting for Oath. Houston USCIS IS a FUCKING Piece of Shit of the country... Nothing else I can say right now. I might leave this forum for a while and come back in September... Good luck to whoever got the interview letter early.. one more time I just want to say FUCK USCIS HOUSTON OFFICE.

Appointment (NOT Oath) after Recommended for Approval
Okay... :-( here is my struggling experience:

6 weeks after I passed my N400 interview with recommended for approval result, today I got a letter saying that 'Please come to the office shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter'.

The letter also says:

Reason: 'Form N-400 Application for Naturalization, This is Not An Oath Ceremony'.
Documents to bring: this letter

I'm so worried as I have no idea why they sent me this letter, what I should expect for the appointment, and what I should prepare..

Very stressed right now, I thought it would be almost over after passing my interview, but now I have to go to field office again for this appointment.

Has anybody had the similar situation or known someone had it?

Thanks!
