Planning to apply for a B2 visa in October to visit my younger brother... Tips anyone??
Hey guys. I'm a 28 year old female from India working in a private financial company for more than a year. I want to visit my younger brother in Chicago for two weeks and we'll go to a sporting event and just explore the city. I'm engaged to my fiance but he has no interest in travelling outside India so I'll be travelling solo. My dad is going to pay for my roundtrip flight tickets and my brother will be incurring my expenses during my stay in the US. I don't have any other siblings in India. Can you guys please give me tips on what kind of questions the VO might ask me and what are my chances of getting a visa? I have no intentions of living in the US as I have my job, fiance and my parents here. Thank you!

Tourist Visa application with a grandparent. Please advise answers.
I am an Indian national applying for the visitors visa (B2) to visit my brother who holds an H1-B status. I am 24 years old and hold a job for the past 7 months now. I am going to be travelling with my grandfather who is 86 years old. Our expenses are going to be taken up by my brother.

Please help me with these questions regarding the process:

1. While filling my grandfather's DS-160, can I enter my phone number for the "primary phone number" field?
2. As my grandfather is 86 YO he may not appear for the visa interview based on the visa application regulations. But as we are travelling together then does he need to appear for the interview with me?
3. I have completed my DS-160 but haven't submitted my application. Is it that until i submit my application, I will not able to see my grandpa as my travel companion. His travel details are not getting auto filled.
4. For mentioning in the DS-160, what should be my/my brother's relation to the grandfather? As there is no specific relation such as grandparent/grandchild. The closest option available is "other relative". Is this the correct answer to the question?
5. For mentioning in the DS-160, in the "US Point of contact Information" page, what should be my answer to the question: "Organization Name:". I am going to submit my brother's details as the US point of contact, so does that mean that I have to provide the name for the organization for which he works? OR is the question intended for people travelling for business to an organization?

b2 visa refused today
I am a 21-year-old Egyptian student. I study civil engineering in Egypt. I applied in the U.S embassy in Cairo and the interview was today. And here is the dialogue between me and the VO

VO : good morning
Me: good morning

VO: where are you going the U.S
Me: Hawaii

VO: WOOOOW Hawaii but why Hawaii?
Me: because I want to visit Waikiki beach, manoa falls, honolulu zoo
and Hawaii has many excellent attractions which doesn't exist anywhere else

VO: again why Hawaii? (He was not convinced why hawaii especially)
Me: repeated the same reasons

VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my dad

VO: Will he travel with you?
Me: No

VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a civil engineer

then VO started typing for about 2 minutes then said .....Sorry I can't grant you the visa
and he gave me the 214(b) slip

and he didn't ask for any documents

I visited UK before for 2 months (I was a student there but I didn't continue my study there)

So what do u think the main reason for refuse???

Need advice
Last year our b2 visa was rejected.
Is it because my wife's sister is an asylum seeker in US..??
Because i remember she asked for national id cards of all brother and sister at the time she applied for asylum, and we have to mention national id number in ds160 form, may they have my wife's id number in their records altbough we didnt inform about her sister being in US.

Help and good advice will be appreciated..??

In-Laws Tourist Visa
My in-laws will be visiting us this year. They have visited different countries like Europe, Jordan, Israel, Thailand, with different groups/tours. My father-in-law is retired official. He has a property in his name with bank details and tax returns. He is sponsoring the ticket and visa amount for himself and his spouse. I will be sponsoring their stay and insurance.
In the form I-160, what should be mentioned as a sponsor- self or by the son-in-law?
My wife is on H4 and she is also studying, should any documents from her university be submitted or required?
Thanks
