B2 Visa Approved
I am 26 yrs old Indian student studying in Germany since 2016 and applied for B2 tourist visa.

07/jun/2017
Frankfurt,Germany

VO: Hello sir,
Me: Hi

VO: may i see your passport
Me: sure, do you need my older passport also ?

Vo: no.

Vo: why r u going to US?
Me: to see, travel

Vo: you mean as a Tourist
Me: yes

Vo: how many countries have you travelled ?
Me: more than 17

Vo: since how many years you are here in germany?
me: more than one year now( told her exact dates)

Vo: what do you study?
me: Masters in xxxx

Vo: how much study duration you still have to finish?
Me: i will convocate in 2018

Vo: where are you going in US?
Me: new york

Vo: what you gonna visit in new york?
Me: Statue of liberty and manhattan etc (i hadn't made my travel plan yet but with presence of mind i could list all the must see places in new york)

Vo: how many days you wanna stay
Me: 7 days (told exact days)

Vo: why US now in these dates?
Me: as i have to travel to Portugal after this trip

Vo: where are you gonna stay?
Me: I have booked a youth hostel

Vo: Is someone accompanying you?
me: Nope I am travelling alone.

Vo: I am approving your visa and you will receive it in few days.
Me: oh thank you, when can i expect my passport?
Vo: you should get it in 4 weeks of time.

In all my visa experience was good. I had taken all the necessary docs with me but wasn't asked to show even once. I also believe that multiple factors could have helped for my approval like I am a student still left to finish my education in Germany(which demonstrates my ties to come back) or my family has been living in Qatar for more than 10 years which includes me of having resident permit of Qatar or my previous travel history to many different countries like Australia etc(which demonstrates I am a genuine tourist).

In all be honest and logical in your approach. May god bless America ! :)

B2 visa refusal
I am 38 years old male, married, have my own home and other property applied for USA B2 tourism visa along with my cousinn 33 male married with same status.

We both worked 10 years in our family business as MD and CEO respectively. In August 2015, we formed a new company as partners and sucessfully countinued its operations.
We still have our family business as well.

We filled the form with each and everything same except personal data. We did not have any contact adress in USA. so we wrote hotel adress for this. Our annual income is 1.8 million p a.
On interview day, we reached there at 8 am as time was 9:30. A long que was there. I was asked to take counter no. 3. A young guy was there.
Vo: how r you
Me: fine and you?

Vo : fine.
Me: pas him my pasport

Vo: so why r you going USA?
Me: for tourism

Vo: where in USA?
Me: Newyork

Vo: have you travelled any country ?
Me: yes. Thailand (4 times), Malaysia (4 times), UAE (2 times), KSA (4 times).

(Total 3 questions)

Vo: okkkkk and start typing
After 1 minute he said sorry i cant give you visa.

Me: thank you and came out.

After 5 minutes, my cousin came out with visa approval. He was asked to take counter 4.

Amazing. Same aplication same status. Same business. Same salary and incone. Same form filling but diferent result ---------?

Can any one explain the reason for my rejection? And his acceptance.

Now i want to re apply as we both want to travel combine. What should i do ?
Any suggestion ?

Hi All,
I am planning to apply for US visa this coming October but i'm bit hesitant to do it because I heard a lot of horror stories in getting US Visa. Hope you guys can help me and hear your opinion on how to over come the interview.

Here is my profile.
-I am 26 Yrs old from the Philippines.
-Employed Full time
-Working in BPO
-Single
-I don't have any property but I have small savings accounts which I think I can afford to go to US for 2 weeks.
-All of my family are here in the Philippines
-I have distant relatives in Florida (Cousins of my mom) but they were like sister because they grow up together) she asked me to come to FL so she could take me to Disney World.
-Shes already American Citizen.
-She is just a plain housewife, but her husband is Policeman in FL.
-I have been to Japan 3 Times already (Handling Multiple entry visa for 5 Years) Taiwan 2 times, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea and recently i got approved for 1 Year multiple entry for Australian Visa(This is business visa processed by the company i'm working) i haven't been to AU hopefully this August.

Questions..
What are the possible questions that might ask?
Would it be ok if I will ask for invitation letter from my Aunt even if she's not working?
What are my chances in getting approved based on my Profile?

Hope to hear from you guys. Thank you

URGENT QUERY
Hi,

My parents are suppose to travel to US on 6th June. But 2 days before their travel, they saw my fathers visa stamp page has got damaged entirely. Only about 5% of the page is left from the top and rest of the visa has got burnt (Somehow,i know it sounds weird :( )

The passport is absolutely fine. Only the visa page is gone,

I am going to reschedule their travel dates to a future date But i wanted to know how can i re-apply for his visa again?

Since he got his earlier visa not that long ago, is he eligible for interview waiver (IWP)?

One of the points in the eligibiltiy checklist of IWP says,
"I have a previous U.S. visa in the same class as the visa for which I wish to renew"

Technically, my father doesnt have that visa physically in his possession any longer but we do have a scanned copy of his visa that got burnt. can the scanned copy help him get through IWP ?

appreciate any help!

thanks

I need help
Hi everyone,

I need help but don't know how to post my question. Here is the only place for which I could find to send a post. I hope someone reads it and answer me or tell me how to post my question where it should go.

My question is regarding to the ds-160 for interview appointment to obtain B2 visas.

My family has their visa appointments at the ned of July this year at 10am in Dubai. They are applying for tourist visas in order to participate in our wedding on September 4th of this year and had to wait for a long time in order to make their interview appointments.

However, we just learned that their DS-160 forms that still need to be completed have expired and is not available to complete/edit anymore. We understand that a completed DS-160 is required for each applicant in order to be able to appear in the embassy for their interview appointments. However, as mentioned their Ds-160 forms are not available to complete now. Would you please advise me on what needs to be done now? Can they renew their DS-160 forms and get a new confirmation for their visa appointment in July?

Thank you so much in advance,

Best regards,
MN
