I attended the visa interview at Chennai consulate on Apr 17 and I was told that "Your visa application is pending administrative processing" and I was given a blue 221(g) form . The consular officer just had a couple of questions for me - who is the petitioner and what is your specialization? When I mentioned "Machine Learning" to the latter question, she went off to consult with someone, and she said that needs to follow the protocol and send it for further administrative processing. She has collected my passport and all the O1A petition approval forms. In the end, she mentioned "'Hope it gets approved in a couple of weeks".

I got the visa approved on May 11th. It took 24 days to process my 221g.

3. Petitioner's federal tax returns for the last two years.
4. List of petitioner's employees: Provide a notarized list of all employees with each employee's name, specific job title, yearly salary, immigration status, and employment start and end dates.
5. Beneficiary's educational documents.
6. Beneficiary's resume listing prior work experience.
After submitting all the document on 26th April by my company, I received an email on 27th April from USTravelDocs to submit list of all employees in my office and LCA(which had been already submitted before).

Hi team,
I have attended my H1B visa interview on 5th March,2018. It went well with basic questions salary, education and employer, Salary details. After that VO issued me 221G. I got a call from this number 040-40338300 on 12th March,2018 and I have missed the call to answer. After that I haven't received any emails or calls regarding same. I have sent multiple emails to [email protected]; [email protected]. I only got generic response it may takes several weeks and we can't expedite.
I want to check is there anyone in same boat?
