Hi, Need help with 221g (white Slip) below is my case details.Any help is appreciated
02122018:I had drop box option and dropped me and my wife's application on Feb122018
02162018:Got an email/Call saying to attend interview on Mar082018
02202018:Wifes passport pick notice and got her visa approved
03082018:Attended the interview & VO Asked some general que's like Employer name, How long have you been working for the emplr, client name & how long working for client Etc..VO have passed for few min's & typed some thing after every question and interview went for 15 min's(but vo asked only 5 que's)no docs were collected
took both passports (Me& my Wife's) and gave 221g WHITE SLIP
03282018 got an email to pick my passport,visa didn't got approved and got a 221g white slip in it saying to collect my wife's passport at Visa office
04062018 collected my wife's passport and her visa got stamped with "CANCELLED WITH PREJUDICE"
04162018 Case status still showing pending administration process

Asked abt company, salary, location, how many h1b's in the company etc and then issued me 221(g) requesting for SOW & Itinerary of services
May 2nd: Received email to submit passport after 136 days from document submission.
May 8th : Last updated date changed to 8th May
May 10th : Around 12.30 IST Noon status changed to Issued.
May 12th : Received stamped passport
None of my clients or employer were contacted. Waited for 60 days but would call support( +91 120 4844644 or +91 40 46258222) once a week but they did not have any info. After 90 days reached out to Congressman and Senator. They followed up but were given standard response. Then Employer called NVC ( +1 603-334-0700.)to check if there was any SAO initiated. There was nothing initiated on my case .Had read that SAO take about 5-6 months for clearance. Exactly after 5 months received email to submit passport. Had converted H4 to H1b in USA, was working since 2.5 yrs there & this could be the reason for 221g. Good luck to all

04/02- Received confirmation for documents submission.
04/03-Status at CEAC website- "Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing.
04/09-case updated after 21st march .
04/18- client was contacted , gave a week time to reply
04/20- client replied back
05/09- got email to submit my passport yesterday and i submitted it yesterday only.
05/10- case updated
05/11- issued

Applied B1/B2 visa to attend a scientific conference. I am studying PhD in Biochemistry. VO said your application needs 'Administrative Processing', It will take 3-4 weeks to process, collected my CV, invitation letter and returned Passport and issued 221(g) yellow slip NO documents required.
27 March 2018: Case created
28 March 2018: Interview
28 March 2018: First update ('Administrative Processing') shortly after the interview.
03 April 2018: Second update ('Administrative Processing')
25 April 2018: I sent enquiry email to US consulate and UStraveldocs about status. But no reply.
26 April 2018: Third update around 11:20 am CEST. At 15:08 CEST email request to submit passport for final processing (Status AP).
27 April 2018: Passport shipped.
30 April 2018: Passport delivered to consulate.
07 May 2018: Fourth update around 13:00 CEST and status still AP.
08 May 2018: Status changed to 'Issued' around 13:00 CEST.
11 May 2018: Passport received. Only 'ONE YEAR VALIDITY :('

I have been living and working in the US for last several, have couple of successful stampings in the past at the first go.. However, this time during my interview, i was asked to produce my old I797 that had expired (unfortunately, i wasnt carrying it) - submitted the ecopies the same day. I have been waiting for an update since then. It has been 7 weeks since i submitted all my docs. Wonder what is taking them so long, it is very frustating to be waiting for this long for an update to review a few documents and this is happening after i have been a tax paying resident for several years. Anyone else have been waiting for this long???
