Master of Science in Information Technology 11 February 2021 : VO to me - 'your visa is approved. Collect when it's ready' (No mention of 221g Whatsoever) Passport retained Same day : Received questionnaire in email.( Travel story, previous address, used phone no. & email addresses along with Social media) 12 February 2021 : Submitted Via email 15 February 2021 : got email from VFS Global to collect passport & they returned just only the passport saying ''your visa is under administrative processing.'' (Again, No slip & no document checklist provided with the returned passport) Case status refued , no update of the date so far.Everytime i emailed the embassy , they just copy paste the public response in the reply. I've been in the US before for 2 semesters in my undergrad .That time Ap took 2 months 48 DAYS TILL TODAY & MY CLASS STARTS in 5 days !! No word that can describe the boat i'm in! Following is the timeline in my case Jan 14 2021 - Dropped off the documents in New Delhi Embassy ( as i qualified for dropbox) Jan 27 2021 - 221g Refused with Green slip asked to come for face to face interview Feb 5 2021 - Attended interview in New Delhi , again was given 221g blue slip asked to submit client letter and project tech description Feb 12 2021 - submitted all the documents as needed to the email address provided Mar 12 2021 - Case last update date changed and overall status still it is showing refused They havent reached out to my client since Mar 12 till May 25 which is today. will post more updated once i have any ... anybody in similar situation? any suggestions on options that i can try out will be really appreciated

Hello, I had my first time h1b interview on April 22 and was told by the officer that it has been approved and they kept the passport. On April 30, I received my passport along with 221g blue slip which requested for client letter and Internal project Description. I have received an updated client letter from my client and have my documents ready to be sent but my employer has asked me to wait for the ban to be lifted before submitting my documents. Can you please let me know: 1. If it is a good idea to send the documents for 221g processing if my 221g issue date is prior to the proclamation date? Will I receive a 221g again once I submit the necessary documents with proclamation statement that asks to resubmit my application after ban is lifted? 2. If I wait for ban to be lifted then will I fall behind due to heavy backlog pending to be processed? Please let me know if anyone has any inputs to this situation.

Below is a timeline for my H-1B stamping that I hope could be of help to people in a similar situation. I have a research-related job in an academic institution and I typically get 221G for my visa stampings. March 22nd: Consular Interview (Regular appointment) March 22nd evening: Received an email saying 221G—I emailed them my publications, CV, research details etc. the same day. March 23rd: Status was "Refused" May 7th: Status updated to "Refused" (I received an email from [email protected] saying that my visa application is being processed, and if I think that I qualify for NIE I should email them with research details and explain what would happen if I could not return to the US). I replied to the email the same day. May 17th: Status changed to "Administrative Processing" May 18th: Status changed to "Issued" May 20th: Passport delivered home through bluedart. I have an NIE annotation on my visa stamp.

Hello everyone, The counselor asked for my sponsor’s bank statement and salary statement which I did not have on position on the interview. So after I had finished my NIV interview the counselor given me a 221g and advised me to send my sponsor’s bank statement and salary statement via the Empost which I did on the same day. I still didn't know where do I stand in the application. So I had checked the official visa status check website. It shows that my visa has been refused on the 9th of May which is the day of my interview. Although my documents had arrived at the U.S Embassy in Abu Dhabi on the 10th of May. Is this a final decision or my case is still pending? Please do understand my confusion. Thanks

03/15- VO issued Blue slip for SOW and Contract 04/15- Document submitted 05/05- Received mail to submit passport -Your case has been updated, please log back into your account to view the details. 05/06- Submitted passport -- 05/07- Status changed to AP from refused. 05/08--Still waiting for next updated .

I have interview on May 4th . And the officer asked me to submit the form SD-5535 so I did . And still waiting for answer

VO asked the routine questions. Also Qs focused on my past Govt career. Emailed Resume, detailed Work history, Travel history etc same day and received auto response of receipt. Followed up via emails twice. Received standard response of adm processing. Passport still with consulate. Is it a good idea to email the consulate for update? My case was also created a day before my actual interview date. Anyone else experienced it? CEAC case update: 29 Apr 2021: Adm processing 3 May 2021: issued 6 May 2021: Passport received with Visa.

Hi, I submitted my Passport and required documents as listed in the Interview letter, at the Dropbox on 21st of April On 22nd of April the status on CEAC portal is shown as "Refused" As of 7th May, the status remains the same and the last review was only 22nd Does anyone has a same situation? Is the processing at Hyd Consul going slow? When I call the Support number, they say, it's in "Administrative Processing" When can we expect a response? Any idea? Thanks in advance Venkat
