Update: 24/5/17 - Status still shows Admin Processing
Paper accepted for conference. Had a quick short interview. Previously spent 8 years in the US from 2004 to 2012 as a student for M.S. and Ph.D. Got 221(g) then as well when I went to renew my F1 during my Ph.D.
VO asked about conference details, current employment, who will be funding the trip. Then asked me for the title of the paper and as soon as I gave it to her, she said thanks everything looks fine and asked me to go to counter 7 where I was given the white slip by the Indian lady. Emailed all the required documents on the same day.
During my F1 time, it took 4 weeks from my interview to when I got the visa. Hoping I get it in the same time frame this time as well. Conference in Ju

Visa officer asked questions about my publications, previous jobs, international travels, research applications.
Asked me what my return date and gave a a green 221G pending letter and asked me if i had any questions. The visa officer clearly told me the processing would take 3 weeks to about a month. I submitted the documents. immediately the next day and got automated reply almost within one minute. The CEAE status is showing the interview date till today (June 15th 2017).
Waiting eagerly for the some update and email as my return tickets are booked.

Arrived India on Feb 28, 2017.
Was qualified for dropping passport over VFS Bangalore, dropped passport and documents on March 2nd 2017.
Got 221g asking for employer documents, tax documents, bank statements, etc on March 10th 2017.
Appeared for an Consular interview, submitted all requested documents to Chennai Consulate on March 27th 2017. (VO said my application needs to undergo admin processing).
Escalated my case to consulate on May 27th 2017 through USTravel Docs (after 60 days waiting), but got a standard reply asking to wait for indefnite time.
It has been around 75 days till today and no update so far.
Anyone on the same boat ?
