I went to interview on 13th April. Visa Officer asked me a few questions which was quite smooth, then she told my visa was approved. After 2 days when I went to pick up my passport I had a blue slip in it with the options chosen as "Your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made.
Was quite surprised to see this as the VO had already said that the visa was approved.
Is there any possibility for the visa to be rejected?
How long it might take to get the final decision?

On 24th Jan, 2017 I went for H1- B Visa interview process to the US embassy along with my dependents(Wife, Son and Daughter). After asking few question VO has given me the 221(g) (YELLOW SLIP) and collected all 4 original passports.
While leaving, VO asked for the client letter and petition(I129). I have given both document to her. Status is still "Administrative Processing"

Hi All,
I was interviewed for H1B visa on 19th Jan’17 at US consulate Mumbai.
Passport was returned to me on same day of interview got white slip ,form 221g --administrative processing.
This is second time I am receiving 221g white slip earlier during my first visit in 2014 as well I received this form and it took 90 days to clear the status.
I traveled to USA and after 28 months returned to India in Jan’17 as I am not eligible for drop box went for stamping on 18th and 19th Jan’17 and received 221g again.
I was hoping as this is my second time and I already have my SSN, US Driving license etc.. it may get cleared early however even after five weeks no change in the status.
Anyone in the same boat?

Was in US for about 4 years, I came for H1b stamp. after F1. Interviewer asked me general questions regarding my masters in US, Employer? how long with the company?About Client, project duties, Salary.
Docs collected during interview, 16 Dec 2016: I-797, All I20s (opt,CPT) etc, paystubs, client letter, passport, employment letter.
Again got white slip on 23rd Dec 2016 and asked: client letter, employer last 2 year tax returns, Notarized list of employees, project desc.
16 Dec 2016: Interview date:
13 Feb 2017: 221g Doc submission date:
VO tried contacting client but client didn't receive any email.
27 Feb 2017 :Letter from client as client verification, stating I am on long term project, and the urgency of resource to on site submitted
After 60 days (13 Apr 17), I tried escalating case with ustravel docs and US embassy but i am getting same generic reply.
Its so frustrating and i am really getting depressed.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi,
On Mar-20, I visited Drop Box location at Delhi for my H1B visa renewal.
On April-06, my passport was returned with the 221(G) letter to appear for Fingerprinting at the US Embassy.
On April-10, I visited US Embassy and provided my fingerprints. After that threre is NO update. It is still in Admin Processing.
Any guidance or suggestions? Anyone in similar situation?
