24 - April - i have received another 221g slip indicates, A letter (on letterhead) from the personnel department at the U.S end client company (the job site where you will actually work) stating that there is a vacancy for you.

4th Jan 2017: VO asked me simple questions and then asked me to wait. After like 30mins, VO called me and
collected I-797,I129,LCA, and petitioners request letter on the date of interview.
VO didn't request me to submit any documents in 221(g). They just marked "Your case requires additional administration processing.".

In my case my h1 got approved last year and my employer file amendment for new project. amendment is still in process.
Note: i have done masters and worked on OPT for 1 year. my h1 status starts from Oct 2016.

28th Nov 2016: Interview in Karachi Consulate and was given 221G.
In last week of Jan, I lost my end client and my employer revoked my H1B petition, DOS sent my case to USCIS for revocation.
18th April 2017: I had my H1B transfer to a different employer and reappeared for an interview with new H1B Petition. VO took my LCA, I-797, offer letter
2nd May 2017. Date updated on CEAC.
22nd May 2017: I got a call from the consulate , asking for Client vendor contract and work statement.
25th May 2017: Docs submitted to Embassy and got the confirmation.

VO - Asked for project description document which didn't had and hence issued 221(g). Asked me to submit project description along with employment contract signed by me and my employer in US.
Sent email to ustraveldocs for status update after 60 days and also after 74 days of waiting but got same standard reply "its under process and they cannot provide any timeline for the completion of processing"
Finally on 5/22 got email saying your case is ready for final processing and was asked to submit passport, copy of I797 and email that i received from US consulate. Submitted documents today. hoping that now my case gets approved, fingers crossed.
After submitting passport, copy of I797 and email confirmation to VFS on 5/30/2017 my cases was first showed last updated date change from 16th Feb to 5/31/2017, then it was again changes on 31st and 1st June. Finally today i.e. 2 June it shows "ISSUED".
This all shows me that no matter what you got believe and have faith. all the best!

I had applied for an F1 visa to do a PhD in physics and this is the
first time I'm appearing for an interview. I think the visa officer
didn't understand my research area well (or he decided that it came
under the Technology Alert List), and he asked me to submit my
resume on the day of the interview. I gave him my resume and copies of
my research publications, after which he gave me a blue slip and
collected my passport. On 30th May, exactly 21 days after the
interview, I received an email asking me to submit my advisor's resume
and my research plan. Since I am a new student, I don't have an
advisor, so I just submitted my research plan. Don't know how long
it'll take now.

I went to US consulate in Hyderabad for approval of my H1b visa.
Interview was straight forward. I was asked for my highest degree and responsibilities of my position. My highest degree was PhD- pharmacology from US and I explained the responsibilities of my position. Got a 221g white slip.
Submit necessary documents CV, Publications etc via email on 22nd April 2017.
First status update - 19th May 2017
Asked to submit passport - 22nd May 2017
Submitted same day
Second status update- 24th May 2017
Third status update - Changed to Issued - 25th May 2017
Passport ready for pick up - 26th May 2017. passport collected.

I am working on H1-B Visa from last 4 years. Came to India for Visa stamping over my approved extension. Since I am eligible for Dropbox, I opted same but they returned my Passport with 221g White color letter. That letter was an invitation for Personal Interview and Fingerprints. Went for same but again they returned my Passport with another White color letter saying more documents required like Client Letter, Itinerary of Job, Contracts from Employer, etc. I submitted all required documents on 5/22 and waiting for result.
I have no information about the processing time and would like to know if someone with same situation can share experience.
