Interview very basic questions. end of interview I was told that administrative process required. it take 2 weeks time. I should contact if I don hear back in 2 weeks time. No document was asked in interview. VO retained my passport. wait is killing. my normal life effected last few days thinking so much on this..
pls give some suggestion to overcome this situation
10th April 2017 : I got mail from us travel desk to pick my passport. Now they returned same 221g form marking additional administrative process required. same form I got on my interview date. They have not requested any document now also. But they returned my passport. I don't know what to do now:(
First time AP date changed to 11th April.
They returned my passport to VFS office on 10th April. CEAC date changed on 11th april. confusion is this change coz they returned my passport? or they worked on something?

Applied for H1B transfer from a relatively unknown smaller firm. Had an H1B from Accenture and had lived in US for ~10months in 2012-13. The Consular officer inquired a lot about the firm and didn't ask a single question related to my personal profile. Eventually, I was handed a white slip with a request to submit following documents
1. Last 2 years' tax statements of the petitioner
2. Client contract (my firm has a direct contract with end client)
3. Notarized list of all employees of the firm

I did dropbox on 6th March for my H1B renewal. At the time they took my passport and said that I should have my visa within 3-4 business days. Right after my submission my case went to admin processing. Today, 10th March I got an email saying I can pick up my passport from VFS at Nehru Place. When I went to pick up my passport it did not have any visa stamp instead had a letter attached to it saying the following:
We are unable to process your visa application at this time, we require your presence at the Embassy. Your case has been suspended under the section 221(g) until the below indicated process (in my case fingerprinting) is completed.
Please bring this letter and your passport to the Embassy on any business day before 10 am within one calendar year from the date of this letter (10th April 2017).
I wanted to see if anyone else experienced the same thing? After how long of giving their fingerprints did they receive their visa?
I have already waited for more than 5 weeks.

We did a dropbox on Dec 15 and was denied under 221g to come for an interview
Jan 10 interview , documents requested , submitted on the same day
Feb 28 - received a mail to submit few more documents , submitted the next day
March 6 - updates as documents received
Now the problem is , I spoke to an attorney and he said they might reach out the client in other two weeks , and today I received a mail from my client , that I don't hold the job anymore , I am really scared

Hi all,
I had my interview on 3-1-2017 & got a 221-G blue slip with administrative processing. They collected my I-797 and my company's documents. On 10-1 I received an email to collect my documents from Kochi. They returned my I797
After the 60 days, I called the DOS number and they said that the last date that my file was touched was on 10-1 and nothing after that. Finally I sent an email to US travels site and on 23-3-2017 I received another email asking me to submit our passports. I sent my passports on the 24th and was issued on 30th MArch. PAssport picked up on 4th April
What worried me is that for all others, their email says "submit passport for final processing". In my case the email said "With reference to your U.S. Visa application, we kindly request you to submit your passport and a printout of this e-mail at one of our VAC".
Edit: Last Updated date is now 28-03. Still Admin Processing

Interview on 6th Mar 2017 issued 221g. I work in a chemical company. I have chem and Biotech in my background. I hit the TAL jackpot. Never knew that existed until I got 221g.My HR and their attorney contacted embassy for prompt resolution of my case.
Interview was very few questions, and 221g. I guess my profile is a perfect match for TAL. :(
VO said it will take two weeks and said I will receive an email asking for resume and documents

Received acknowledgement from consulate
Emailed ustraveldocs weekly for status, got reply, "your status is updated login to your account and see" but there is no update until 4 weeks.
