I have a PhD in Molecular Biology. I came to India to get my visa stamped. I went to Mumbai consulate to get my H1B visa stamping and was asked to submit research summary. I first submitted documents on 11th january, and within 2 hours I got another email to change the format of my documents and send it back. The status still shows pending and status date hasn't been changed since my interview.

I have a masters in Bioengineering and after working for one year with my current employer, I changed from OPT to H1B and went in for my interview in Kolkata on dec 5, 2016. The VO asked the usual questions and then issued the white 221(g) slip and requested resume, job description, letter from company etc and I submitted everything on Dec 13th, 2016. Its been 30 days since document submission, but no updates yet. Checked on the ceac website, says AP since dec 5th. Where else can I check, who else can I call?

Got a 221G at Chennai consulate. I initially qualified for a dropbox (as I had a smooth H1B stamping last year). However, I was asked to come for an interview. Attended interview on 30th of December, when the VO told me that I need to wait further, and need not do anything. I was not given any more information.
I have a PhD in bioengineering, and had a 221G (TAL) during my PhD days many years back. However, got that cleared in 3 weeks. Once I started working, I had no issue last year with my H1B, and my current 221G makes me think of other possible reasons (other than TAL).
1) I had travelled to UAE en route to visit my sister
2) I am heading to a new job, with very similar job description.

Interviewer asked if I worked directly for my employer, I told her I work at a client location. Then she further asked how long I have been working here and what is my highest degree.
The documents requested included resume , publications, invitation letter etc. Which were asked on dec 9, I submitted them on dec 13. The only update I see on caec website is for the 29th of nov. This is a really long delay.

Interviewing officer asked me about my employment location at client site, she further asked if I have anything to prove client-employer relation, I provided contracts and letter signed by client on client letterhead. She said they will contact the client on the phone number/e-mail mentioned in the letter and once confirmed they will issue the visa ASAP. Status is still Administrative processing on the CEAC website.

I have attended the interview and got a Blue slip, After 60 days. I just contacted the US Consulate and this is what the response I got.
Status: Hold case/221 G & Refusals/214B: Your application remains pending under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for mandatory administrative processing. Unfortunately, we cannot expedite or give an estimated timeframe. U.S. immigration law requires that additional steps be completed in some cases before a file can be advanced for adjudicative review.
