Nov 1st 2016 - Received 221g and asking to send the required documents or appear for an interview.
Nov 4th Appeared for an interview, VO asked to provide Client Letter, vendor letter and all other supporting documents. And VO provided yellow slip and asked me to wait for next call.Then they called me after 45 min and provided 221g blue slip with status AP.
Dec 13th 2016 - Client Verification.
Dec 14th 2016 - Client Replied.
Jan 5th Received Email from Chennai consulate to submit the passport.
Jan 6th - Submitted Passport.
Jan 9th - Case Date updated, but still AP.
Jan 10th - Status Issued.
Jan 11th - Passport Collected

I completed my PhD in engineering. VO asked my dissertation topic and current job responsibilities. After typing some information for few mins., he handed over 221 g white slip. He said it will 2 - 3 weeks to get a decision.
I submitted all the necessary information like resume, publications, past research in word format.
I called DOS NIV customer care number and confirmed the receipt of the documents. I didn't receive any automated e-mail upon submission of the documents. Hence, I confirmed the same with DOS customer service rep.
05-Jan-2017 : Got e-mail from Mumbai consulate to submit passport and copy of I-797.
09-Jan-2017 : Submitted passport at Dropbox location
10-Jan-2017 : Status Update 1 : Administrative Processing
11-Jan-2017 : Status Update : Issued
12-Jan-2017 : Passport ready for pickup
13-Jan-2017 : Picked up passport
Visa carried annotation : CLEARANCE RECEIVED on xx-xxx-2017

I am a PhD grad working with a national lab. I had H1B I797 approval. Visited some family in Canada and hence went to Ottawa for stamping. They asked for my resume, which I did not bring (IT WASN'T ON THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS LIST!!). They gave a blue slip and asked me to email resume, list of publications and summary of research. They returned my passport and all other documents. Emailed the required docs the very day itself and after almost a month, got an email today saying I should courier passport.

Result: Blue slip for resume emailing
Approval: 01/14/2017
Status: Yet to send passport to them

Sent documents on 12/06 and did not receive any confirmation. Called them on 12/22 and they asked me to send an email to [email protected] to check whether they have received the documents. They replied saying I should have received an auto response when I sent the documents. Since I had not received any auto response, they asked me to send them the documents which they will forward to concerned department. The same day I sent another email with required documents to [email protected] and got an auto response. Also sent the documents to [email protected] and got a confirmation from them they have received my documents and will forward it to concerned department.
