VO asked my profession details, salary, dissertation title, degree, looked at the diploma and handed over 221 g. Submitted the filled-in questionnaire. After 7 weeks received email to submit my passport.
Visa was stamped and ready for pick-up in 3 working days but due to weekend took 5 days.
Due to some reason, after receiving an email for collection of my passport still my case was showing AP. I used to check the status in the morning 10 AM and evening around 3 PM.
After submitting my passport stayed in a family friend's house near to the VFC center to avoid travel delays.

I had my interview on 27th Jan and the VO handed me a 221g blue slip. Only, needs administrative processing is checked. No other box is checked. The VO dint event check my i797. He asked a couple of questions and handed me the slip and kept the passport. The officer said it usually takes one week to process. But reading about this in the internet seems scary. There was status update in the cea tracking website.

Attended interview on Jan-30 in chennai consulate. Asked few questions.
Finally asked tax related docs of employer. I gave the latest tax details of 2017.
Asked me to wait and in turn they had discussion lt more. Waited for 90 mins and issued blue slip.
They mentioned to e-mail them a following docs by ticking in blue slip:
1)Copies of tax details pf petitioner for last 2 years 2016 and 2017 both.
2) Wage information in details.
Can someone can help if the employer responds , after which how many days will it take for next update

I had interview on 01/18, VO has asked me all the general questions and said that she needs to some time to look into the application and returned the Password. When I asked whether the visa is accepted or rejected, she replied that as of now it is neither accepted nor rejected but needs some time , you may call back us if you don't hear back from us with in 5 business days. She didn't request for any docs.
As VO said, I received call on 01/24 and she has asked me questions about the employer and the client. And said I have called you just to confirm the info. Please track online for the status. Since 24th , no updates, no status change. ( here too didn't ask for any docs.)

Attended interview at Chennai with family for Tourist Visa. I am a PhD and had a ten year visa earlier. The VO asked for my CV, which I did not carry since this was for a personal visit. Visa was issued for the rest of my family. I was given a blue slip and the VO said that I will have to send a detailed CV with publication list by mail. I sent the filled questionnaire and CV by email the next week.
Status was Administrative processing.
