Nov 26 2019: Picked up passport with 221g blue slip
NOTE: The weird thing is 221g Blue slip just has Admin Processing checked i.e no call for interview or no request to submit docs.
Case is still in AP with update date Nov 25 2019.
Is anyone in similar situation? I have been emailing consulate, but been getting only standard response.
Jan 9 2020: Emailed ustraveldocs and [email protected] email id.
Jan 10 2020: chennaihl Email response saying on Nov 25th, we called for interview.(Which I never got, 221g blue slip did not have check for interview). Anyway later they asked to come to interview and carry copy of email and few documents.
BTW ustraveldocs responded standard template i.e wait for 180 days.
Jan 14 2020: Attended interview at chennai. VO officer asked general q's sounded positive and retained passport. Status:AP
Jan 17 2020: Issued.
Picked up passport and wll travel soon

Attended my first H1B Stamping (F1 earlier) on 26th Nov 2019. Got an Yellow Slip for the Client Letter Submission. I'm on an EVC model, where all my documents were given by Vendor HR.
11/26 - Interview Done (Passport Given back Seeking Client Letter - Blue 221G)
12/10 - Asked Client Letter/MSA in an Email . Submitted the Same day
12/20 - Vendor/Client Verification done (Also Acknowledged that the verified information will be passed to the consulate)
1/13 - Waiting on the Passport Drop off email /Decision!

H1 Extension. Full Time Employee in a US High Tech since Sep 2013
2nd Stamping. Previous was in 2014 with no issue.
Interview: company name job responsibilities. VO said visa approved. I was issued a I797 with wrong start date which was corrected by USCiS immediately with correct start date. VO said the date was still wrong in the system but he will fix it. It would take a day or two. Kept passport. Received passport on 12/11 with white slip with documents requested such as resume, past and current research, education, EVL etc. Here is my final journey

Renewal. Thought the process would go smooth. Have no clue why i got a pink slip.
Have been checking daily, status remains same. On 1/21, case last updated shows 01/21.
(I was about to withdraw my passport and travel to the US, but will probably wait for couple of days more).
01/24: Finally got my and all 3 dependents VISA on hand. All have been approved. There seems one error though. The VISA expiration date doesn't match the I-129S valid until date!. The process was long (~7 weeks). I have never felt so helpless. Patience and Prayers!

I appeared for interview with my wife (h4) along with my father (B2) and son (US Citizen)
Interviewer asked few basic question like my son is US Citizen, About employer and salary. Without asking anything about my father, VO said my father's visa has got approved. But she gave me 221(g) blue slip to submit some "court docs". Unfortunately I never thought that I will be asked about such document but she asked. On the same day I submitted the documents but so far I have not received any update to submit my passport.
VO did mentioned that there would not be any issue on my visa but she has to do this as this is a standard process. She gave me passport and said that I will get the updates. I just need to follow instructions on blue slip.
I have return flight and it is 24th Jan, there is no update on my case. Although, my father's visa has got approved to collect the passport but there is no sign about my visa and wife's.
