Aug 26 - Passport ready for Pickup . Visa status - Admin Processing
Aug 27 - Collected Passport . Was issued a GREEN SLIP to attend interview . No documents requested.
Aug 29 - Attended Interview. issued another GREEN SLIP to submit PASSPORT and SUPPORTING DOCS / Explanation regarding "refused entry to Canada (due to wrong turn/exit)" .
Aug 30 - Submitted Passport + Supporting docs to VFS.
Sept 3 - Documents received by Consulate . Visa Status : Still Admin Processing but with update date of Sept 3.
After 15 days , Passport status site showed "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted".
Case was updated on Oct 3 , 21, 23 .. Dec 26 , 27 and finally on Dec 30 when the status changed from AP to Issued.
Passport picked up on Dec 31.

FTE so Standard questions but Visa Officer not clear with my job and the startup. Handed Yellow slip asking for company info and detailed job description which my company lawyer and HR submitted.
11/13: No update (shows AP). Follow-up but received std reply.
11/20: Followed up again. Was asked to submit additional docs. Petition, I-129, LCA.
11/21: Documents submitted by petitioner (lawyer)
11/24: AP (same date as interview)
12/26: Followed-up. They asked to submit my petition again with new office address
12/31: PP submission email
1/1: Holiday
1/2: Visa Issued (status changed on CEAC website)
1/4: Collected PP (Sunday)
Few follow-ups in between and initiated congressman inquiry too.
Takeaway: If your documents are clean then you should be fine (applies for EC/EVC model too). Follow-up and have patience. Public holidays and too many applications to process can cause delay too.
