Attended my first H-1B Visa Interview on October 15th 2019 in Hyderabad. VO asked me some basic questions and took my LCA,
Paystubs and End Client Letter. After the interview VO returned my Passport with 221g White slip and said my application needs some additional administrative processing.
Nov 18th: No update, still AP
Nov 22nd: Got email to submit LCA, Client letter and paystubs. status updated from interview date to nov 22
Nov 26th : Got email to appear for re-interview
Nov 27th: re-interview went almost 45 min. Indian took this interview and retained passport.
Dec 4th: Got email to pickup passport. Picked up same day but there is another 221g in it.
Dec 11th: Got email to submit my passport and submitted on same day.
Dec 12th: Status Date updated to 12th still AP.
Dec 13th: date updated again but still showing AP.
Dec 17th: Status Changed to issued. waiting for passport pickup email.

I attended a visa appointment in Hyderabad Consulate on 12/09/19, I was issued a 221(g) (Attached) white slip. No documents were asked during the interview and the slip does not mention any document. Additionally, my passport was retained by the Visa Officer. I was surprised because no documents were asked and I was issued administrative processing.
I walked in for verifying my fingerprints before the interview, they set me in a separate line and asked to wait for 15 mins because I had filed my DS-160 for Mumbai Consulate initially and booked an appointment in Hyderabad Consulate because of the availability and they were getting my information ready. Vo asked basic questions in a rapid-fire format and gave cold-shouldered look handing white slip by saying this slip has additional steps. Itt doesn't have any steps

29 October 2019 - Got passport along with 221g blue slip to appear for interview
30 October 2019 - Appeared for Interview. Officer gave me 221g yellow slip to email some documents from employer
15 November 2019 - Employer submitted documents.
Sent email to consulate through portal on 22 November asking if they received documents . They said:
Greetings from the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai.

She said they need to check if I was out of status while I was on OPT (in 2017) (also since my STEM OPT was expired - SEVP portal access was closed, I believe they cant see SEVIS information there and invest time in calculating days from OPT start date to first employment on SEVIS ( :-) ) and it may take 2 to 3 business days and she said she will keep the passport.
Update 1: Status of Case Last Updated has changed from my Interview Date (12/09) to 12/13/2019 on 12/13. Fingers Crossed.
