July16:- Attended interview ,I got 221G with 2nd box checked(your application is refused for administrative processing),VO took my passport and I797A copy.
July24 :- Got a email to collect the passport
July25:- Collected passport (Got another 221g along with passport and I797A ,consulate asked me to submit all documents)
Aug26:- My employer submitted all documents with new client letter
Aug27:- Got a email from Chennai consulate to come for re-interview with all documents.
Sep5 :- went for 2nd interview ,VO took my W2,Master certificate,client letter.
Sep19:- Client verification done
Sep30:- Got a email from Chennai consulate to submit passport at nearest VAC
Oct1 :- submitted my passport at VAC Hyd , Passport reached Chennai consulate on Oct 3rd.
Oct14:- Passport status in cgifederal and ustraveldocs changed from "your passport is still with embassy/consulate " to Blank
Oct30:- Emailed consulate for update,they said my application is still in AP.

09 SEP :- Dropped at Chennai VAC
12 SEP :- Collected the passports, with 221g blue slip asking to attend interview with client letter, I 129, LCA, last 2 year W2 and detailed
description of project with technical description, assigned employees and marketing analysis for the final product.
23 SEP :- Attended interview and submitted the documets.Got Another blue slip, passport returned
02 OCT :- My petitioner submitted the documents to the Chennai email id mentioned in the blue slip.
30 OCT :- I received an email to submit my passport along with the email copy. No other documents are requested.
31 OCT :- Submitted the passport at Chennai VAC.
04 NOV :- CEAC case last update date updated and Status changed to Issued and received an email to collect the passport.
05 NOV :- Collected the passport from Chennai VAC.

I attended for l1b blanket visa ;I answered all questions went well during interview however they issued pink slip refusing the visa under section 221g, consulate kept the passport of and my family (3 members) and asking for documents such as invitation letter, resume, position details, international travel last 10 years, trip funding, research and publications., all to be sent as soft copy through email. Sent all documents after two working days; On 24th September.
Irony : I had all documents there as hard copy but consulate just issued pink slip without asking.
Currently status is admin processing. How long it takes to get visa? What are the chances? It was a complete surprise for my family.
25th OCt- No change in status (still admin processing) , same status update date: 20th Sep.
28th Oct- still admin processing, case last updated date changed to 28th Oct at 3:30 pm IST.
29th Oct- issued status @10am
31st Oct- passport ready for pick-up at 1:10 PM

I am currently on L1 and have attended chennai consulate for H1 consular process stamping.
I was working in India before my L1 and had F2 as my spouse was studying in USA. Visited USA for 3-4 months during F2.
My H-1B consulate interview was mostly focused on my F2 visa and my spouse work status. No questions asked about my work or my company. Consulate officer has handed me blue Administrative processing slip with no supporting documents needed. Also took my passport. My L1 is valid till mid of next year. My Kid is also with me and can’t go back and misses school. Please suggest how long the process could take and if there is any way we could request to release kid’s passport so that her school wont get affected?

10/23 - Interview. VO asked 8-9 basic questions, like Client name, location, salary, Role, Responsibilities,and most importantly , If I had a visa ever. I had F category Chinese visa, I traveled in 2013, hence it was more 5 years back. I had not mentioned about it in DS 160.
Got a Green slip with no documents asked for. VO kept mine and my wife's passport with him, and said AP.
10/25 - Still AP
Guys, any idea, how long before I get any update.

CO asked basic questions about employment, research done during my Masters in the US, and since my H1b employment involves working with drones, the CO started asking me what kind of drones I am working with? Are the drones used for commercial purposes?. At the end of the interview, he issued me a 221g Blue slip and gave me a few tips on how to submit a few documents mentioned in the 221g slip such as for invitation letter, I can use the offer letter from my employers. He also mentioned once my documents are submitted, hopefully, they can issue me the visa.
Submitted the documents on Oct 21 and the visa application is in administrative processing since Oct 17 which is also the date of my interview.
