10 Months back I attened H1b visa interview (was cchanging status from opt to H1b), Visa officer approved my visa , but next day i was asked to fill the DS5535 document (word document) through email.
I/ my attorney dropped many follow up emails so far, all we hear is application under admin processing. Took senator help, but response is same.My appilication isnt updated at all since december 3rd 2018.
I will be very thankfull , if any of you have any suggestions on how to proceed further on this.

I was issued a 221g slip due to missing document, my employer emailed the documents in couple of days and 2 weeks later I received a mail from Chennai consulate to submit few more documents. On June 18, 2019 I emailed the documents, since then there is no update till now.

Interview Date: 07May2019, VO mentioned the visa is approved. Received an email to complete DS5535 questionnaire on 08May2019. Completed the questionnaire same day and forwarded to the Mumbai consulate in word format. Didn't get the automated acknowledgement, so submitted the response in PDF format on 21May2019. The senator enquiry was performed on 03Jun and 02Aug. Did congressional enquiry on 09Sep receive standard response with no update. The company attorney left an email to department of state on 10Sep2019 but got no response. Got email on 24Sep from Mum consulate after 140 days that the administrative processing is complete. Submitted passport on 24Sep(Tue), got an email that the passport is ready for pick up on Friday 27Sep2019. Picked the passport on 29Sep (Sunday). You can collect passport on Sunday. Travelled the same night to US.
I had 1 month old baby when this started and the baby was 5months old when this ended. My suggestion is enjoy your time in India and have patience

06/17/2019: No update, second email sent, received same standard reply.
06/272019: No update. 83 days passed. Not sure how long it gonna take.
08/19/2019 : No updates in spite of sending repeated emails to consulate. STILL IN AP. This is really frustrating.
08/26/2019: No updates. Client also did not receive verification call.
09/16/2019: called up the support and sent emails to consulate. They are saying to wait 180 days now from the date of interview. We are in 161st day as of today.
10/07/2019: 180 days in AP. Sent out an email to consulate asking for an UPDATE. Got the same standard reply tha you néed to wait. This wait is killing.

The US Dept of State tried to contact my client on 07/16/2019 (~1.5 months after doc submission). But they were contacting a department unrelated to me. And the person they were contacting didn't respond to them. They sent 6 emails over the period of a little more than a month and the person did not respond. Then they contacted my Vendor, who answered some questions regarding my contract and also told them the details of my Manager at the Client side. After which they contacted my manager for Client Verification. This whole thing caused a lot of delay in the processing of my visa.
