EAD/AP combocard
Hi
I485 - rfe medical exam submitted : 116 days ago
Ead/ap : approved 94 days ago

i have both EAD/AP approved in mid June and have been anxiously waiting for my combo card to be delievered but still no news. My status is still “Case is approved” but no other updates about the card being produced or delievery. I read some articles about the card production company’s contract ended in June which cause these issues. I am very concerned that I will not be able to visit my family or work for another couple months or a year. No biometrics yet and i live near Seattle WA. Has anyone in Seattle area received biometrics appointments these days? I am wondering if once biometrics done, they will produce card quickly after..also are we able to travel/work with the approval notice? Or do we must have the physical card? would love to get any advise from anyone! Thank you :)

New Card is Produced.
Just an update. My case status just updated to advance parole document produced. I applied separately for my advance parole. I didn't send it in when i applied for my ead. I received my ead in early june and applied for advance parole in july. Uscis received my application on july 13th 2020 and today September 23rd 2020, new card is produced. Took 2months and a few days. Not bad. For anyone thinking about applying, go ahead and do it. Can answer any questions.

Travel on AP after proclamation
Hi all,

Has anyone traveled outside of the US with an AP issued after the presidential proclamation from April (extended to Dec, 31st)? Any issues on the way back?

Would love to hear about your experiences, my search for any information so far has been futile.

Question about Country of Birth on Combo Card
I had a question about my combo card. I received my combo card back in May and it says my country of birth is China when it's supposed to be Hong Kong. Called the USCIS hotline and they explained to me that it says my country of birth is "China" all over the USCIS application. I double-checked what I submitted - I filled in "Hong Kong" for every single field. I was even asked to submit an RFE with my Hong Kong birth certificate, so I did so.

I am planning to leave the country end of this month (booked my flight, ended my current lease, quit my job), and then realized that this could potentially be a problem when I am trying to get paroled back into the US. I was wondering what are my options - is it okay to leave the country with this combo card with this potential mistake? I don't know what to do at this point - since getting if fixed will take weeks if not months.

Please let me know what are my options, I am really anxious now and would greatly appreciate your help.

Recent entry to US using Advanced Parole
Hello all,

I was looking to see if there is anyone here who has recently traveled to India and entered back the US using their Advanced Parole? Were there any hurdles faced at the entry point? Is it safe to travel during these times if you have a valid EAD/AP document staying in the US on the basis of spouse sponsored AOS pending application?

I would very much appreciate if recent travelers can share their experience. Thanks in advance!

USCIS picking up mail from PO box?
Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well.

I wanted to ask if this has happened to any one of you and I’ll feel a little less worried :)

Got my EAD a few months ago but, I decided I wanted to apply for the travel permit doc.

Sent my docs on Aug 5th, arrived at the Post office in Chicago on the 11th and since then USCIS hasn’t picked up the package yet. Is there a delay or is it common for them to take that long?

First time I sent docs to Immigration last year it was pretty fast and on my tracking number on the Post Office website I could see “picked up” and delivered but, this time there hasn’t been any updates from the USCIS.

Do they eventually pick up the mail from the po box? I’m assuming with the COVID they have short staff?

Tell me your experiences so I can base off of them and possibly feel a little less worried :)

Look forward to the answers! Thanks everyone :)

My journey!!!
Now, just at the beginning of July I decided to go ahead and travel using my AP card .
I thought that because of COVID it would take much longer and I haven’t seen my family for 15 years. I bought my tickets without my husband knowing about it, he would not approve that decision. Why? Because I had some criminal convictions, that I had to expunge before applying . They say [if you have had any crime in the past don’t travel on a AP. I Did! (Urban Legend)
On August third I was over seas in Brazil, having a good time with my family and I got a message from uscis that almost made my heart stop. Because my case could have been denied and I was going to be in big trouble, I called my husband here in the USA and together we checked the website. We cried of joy and happiness.
So, Yesterday I traveled back , I stopped in Mexico City over night. Stayed at a hotel. Then this morning I had my flight o Atlanta.
CBP was fast and courteous here, I stayed for only 15 minutes with them. They asked me where I went , if this was the first time leaving the country and for how long. Then I went with a nice lady that made questions related to COVID-19 and finish said , welcome to the USA.
I’m right now waiting for my flight to SF after 25 days abroad.
I hope this will give hope to some of you out there , just be patient and it will come for you. Don’t wait to travel if you have a travel permit card, it was given to you for a reason.
Focus and faith!!!

Use valid ap travel. New ap ending, can friend mail new ap to me?
Hi everyone,

I have a valid ap until sep 28, and new ap pending since June.

and I will travel soon, if my new ap get approved in Sep, can my friend mail it to me?

I asked Uscis and emma. Asked a higher level staff. She said ok.as AP issued by Uscis. While enter USA is cpb.

But my lawyer said I have to get new new ap then leave, or my new ap will be abandoned. ( but I read Uscis, emergency travel- caution part, it will not abandon in this situation)

Thanks very much.
