Hi Fam,

Quick question? To renew the the combo card, do we mail out the two forms (I765 & I131) together in one envelope or mail them out separately? Do we need to add any other documents than the ones listed below:

Many thanks for your help :)

PAssport copies
Photocopy of 485 receipt/ Approval Notice (i-797)
 I-485 Receipts
Copy of EAD/AP card

Have not received AP document (not combo)
Hello everyone,

My AP document got approved a couple of weeks ago but have not received anything on the mail yet.
Would someone be willing to share with me their experience of how long it took from approval to having the document in hand? We ordered the AP only and no EAD so it’s not a combo card.
Thanks a lot all!

Regarding Advanced Parole Document Expiration
Hi everyone! I hope you're doing well. I was hoping to get advice from those of you who have advanced parole documents that are close to expiring. I've been outside of the US for majority of the year because of COVID-19 and my parole document is expiring on December (not the combo card, just the actual advanced parole paper). However, when I entered the US last January with this advanced parole, the immigration officer stamped a January date on the bottom of the paper. This same date is reflected on my i-94 under the 'Admit Until Date'. So right now I'm confused if my parole document is going to expire on December or this Admit Until Date on January.

Another relevant question, have there been any experiences with requesting for an extension of this Advanced Parole? Because of the special circumstances and the health risks that traveling entails right now.

Would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

Traveling with Advanced Parole is Safe
I know that this is a subject that make us feel insecure so I decided to share my experience.

I got my advanced parole on June 3, 2020. ( F-1 Student - AOS)

And decided to travel in July.

I stayed 86 days out of the country, arrived back today and was a easy process.

The officer asked me if It was my first time traveling with AP? I said yes.

So he told me that I need to go for a secondary inspection for then to stamp my passport.

I went the second place, waited 5 minutes, another officer called me and asked,

Have been out of country before?

I said , No.....

Do you have a case in court ,right?

I said I had, I have a paper that it was dismissed, would like to see?

He said yes, checked the document and asked me where I live, If I am working and that’s it.

I was out!

All good, the officer extremely polite doing just his job.

So if you are afraid of travel, please don’t.

EAD/AP combocard
Hi
I485 - rfe medical exam submitted : 116 days ago
Ead/ap : approved 94 days ago

i have both EAD/AP approved in mid June and have been anxiously waiting for my combo card to be delievered but still no news. My status is still “Case is approved” but no other updates about the card being produced or delievery. I read some articles about the card production company’s contract ended in June which cause these issues. I am very concerned that I will not be able to visit my family or work for another couple months or a year. No biometrics yet and i live near Seattle WA. Has anyone in Seattle area received biometrics appointments these days? I am wondering if once biometrics done, they will produce card quickly after..also are we able to travel/work with the approval notice? Or do we must have the physical card? would love to get any advise from anyone! Thank you :)

New Card is Produced.
Just an update. My case status just updated to advance parole document produced. I applied separately for my advance parole. I didn't send it in when i applied for my ead. I received my ead in early june and applied for advance parole in july. Uscis received my application on july 13th 2020 and today September 23rd 2020, new card is produced. Took 2months and a few days. Not bad. For anyone thinking about applying, go ahead and do it. Can answer any questions.

Travel on AP after proclamation
Hi all,

Has anyone traveled outside of the US with an AP issued after the presidential proclamation from April (extended to Dec, 31st)? Any issues on the way back?

Would love to hear about your experiences, my search for any information so far has been futile.

Question about Country of Birth on Combo Card
I had a question about my combo card. I received my combo card back in May and it says my country of birth is China when it's supposed to be Hong Kong. Called the USCIS hotline and they explained to me that it says my country of birth is "China" all over the USCIS application. I double-checked what I submitted - I filled in "Hong Kong" for every single field. I was even asked to submit an RFE with my Hong Kong birth certificate, so I did so.

I am planning to leave the country end of this month (booked my flight, ended my current lease, quit my job), and then realized that this could potentially be a problem when I am trying to get paroled back into the US. I was wondering what are my options - is it okay to leave the country with this combo card with this potential mistake? I don't know what to do at this point - since getting if fixed will take weeks if not months.

Please let me know what are my options, I am really anxious now and would greatly appreciate your help.
