May 13 RD with RFE
Hey guys, anyone left here who has experience with contacting the ombudsman? I tried the congressman route but they’re giving me the runaround. It’s been over a month and I don’t think they’ve done anything and they keep telling me they’ll update me later. It will be 8 months in 2 days. I just don’t think it will get looked at, at this point. I don’t know how to make USCIS get my file off that shelf it’s probably sitting on.

Apply for STEM Extension while waiting for Adjustment of Status EAD
Hello All,
I am currently on my OPT which is expiring on Feb 6, 2020. I applied for Adjustment of Status and I-765c(9) - green card based EAD while I was on my OPT. I have been waiting for green card based EAD for past 6 months now and have not heard anything back yet.
SInce, my current OPT is about to expire can I apply for STEM - OPT extension and continue my work using i-797 (automatic 180 days extension)? My green card EAD should arrive within the 180 days time frame. I received a conflicting response from immigration attorney.
Attorney 1 : There is no conflict per se in working under the OPT/EAD while you file for the I-485/EAD; however, once you file for the I-485-based EAD application, you will no longer be eligible for the OPT/EAD extension since you are no longer maintaining non-immigrant status.
Attorney 2: The two are mutually exclusive. They do not conflict. Also, there is nothing wrong if the EAD overlaps.
Anyone with experience on this kind of situation?

Can you please suggest me what are the steps I can take on this situation:
-I am currently on my OPT which expires on Feb 06,2020.
-I got married to a US Citizen and applied for a I-765c(9) on Received Date: June 26,2019. (Waiting since 199 days total as of today)
-Bio metrics Completed: July 16, 2019 (179 days)
I have been tracking the processing time for NBC 1-765c(9) on USCIS website. Initially it was 4-6 months then it changed to 5-7months and currently it shows 5.5 - 7.5 months. I tried calling the USCIS but the customer representative keeps reading the script from the internet which is not at all helpful.
- How long do I have to wait before applying the case inquiry?
-How can I apply for expedite?
-Can I apply for my STEM-OPT extension? The receipt will act as a 180 days auto extension. Will that affect my I-485 filing?
-How do I contact the congressman? Should I email or call them?
Please tell me any other things that I can do to. Touch USCIS's feet, beg with GOD. This wait is so draining and frustrating. Especially when you know that your income source is being affected directly :(

My H4 EAD has been approved today. In how many days will i receive my EAD card by post ??
Do i need to apply SSN once I receive my card before I start searching for a job?
We have applied H1 extension ( Premium ) + H4 Extension + H4 EAD on the same day . H1 approved in 3 days.
PD : 10/03/2019 ( Application went to NBC )

Status Update 1 : 10/30/2019 ( Finger Prints Received )
Status Update 2 : 01/09/2020 - New Card Being Produced
Status Update 3 : 01/10/2020 - Case was Approved.
