I got my EAD
Hey folks,

318 days after I filled my applications on dec 19, NBC, a role coaster journey, I finally got my EAD and AP by mailbox and I'd like to share it with you guys.

I didn't get any notice, email or mail. My status didn't change in the app or in the website.

Now I hope to get the interview schedule soon.

Thanks you all.

EAD Approval update
Good Morning Friends,

So my EAD was approved 4 months 21 days in.

The following updates i got on the my profile USCIS website:

PD June 11.
Bio July 12
Aug 22. I485 "case ready to be schdule for interview"

The following I got on the myaccount.uscis.gov website not the USCIS website

EAD " new card being produced" Oct 31, 2019.
Recieved Email on Nov 1 "case was updated" for I765 and I131

Nov 1. Status changed to "case approved" I765 and I131

Recieve email:

Nov. 5 status changed to "card was mail to you"

Following i got a text and email on the the link took me to the USCIS login profile which show:

Nov 6. Status changed to "Post office picked up tour card" with tracking number in message

When I track the passage it says that its in transit and will get to me by 8pm Saturday Nov. 9
It also gave me the option on rhe USPS website while tracking my card yo sign up for different notifications email, text. I did both, so immediately adter I complete the process a few text came into my phone on the location of the package and delivery date etc.

I really hopr sharing this is help because after geeting each notice or update tge question pops into my head of what to expect next. My partner and I did our forms by ourselves so we have no lawyer to ask these questions so this forum is what i have to thank for keeping me inform and knowledgeable about my process.

Thank you all and I am praying for succes for you all.

Someone ought to press Cuccinelli to stop vetting benevolent EAD applicants to death.

Surely, there is fraud out there but that’s like anything else in life; making the innocent pay the price doesn’t resolve the problem...

Logic is needed. Most people are not criminals and the criminals find their way in anyways.

Depressing times
I been following posts over here for a while, and lately you can tell how depressing this side of the website have become! And I don’t blame any of us, if I didn’t have an amazing and very supportive partner, 2 cute dogs, and a gym membership I would’ve been very depressed! What’s more depressing is when you see your friends and peers from the same age group doing great things and being able to be productive and successful, while your life is put on hold. In my case my driver license have expired last February, so I can’t drive, flying is risky, I can’t go out, and I don’t wanna work under the table so I don’t risk my future. I literally can’t do anything, and I feel completely useless! From the looks of it I won’t be getting my EAD till next year, so I guess I will just keep going to the gym and dumbing all the depression in there.

Important Message to All
Hi Friends,
I shared a recent experience on EAD card not delivered by USPS. This is in continuation to that. USPS didn't deliver it to me because a digit in my apartment number was missed while sending the mail to me. The post man took the package back to post office and misplaced it. He didn't update the proper message against the delivery status. When I went back to post office the next day, they have no clue. I waited for the post man to come there and checked. He said he has sent it back to the sender. I contacted USCIS and they said they the delivery confirmation from USPS and I have to reapply for the card as it will be treated as stolen/lost card and thus go through the painful process again. This was a shock. I called up service center of USPS and raised a request to track. There was no clue for 2 days as to where is the package. On the other side, I had a job offer and was eagerly waiting for the card. I had to trace the card for sure. I kept calling USCIS and USPS call centers every day and there were nice people to understand my concern. USCIS asked me to file AR-11 form to update the address (In fact, I had received notification while case was filed to the same address, not sure what went this time). I filed the form. When I called USCIS next day the lady updated the address and filed an internal request to resend the card to me when they receive card back from USPS. But, the question was whether they will get it from USPS or not, if yes, when? So, there was uncertainty. Then, looked through the lineage of post offices through which the package traversed and called the first post office which actually picked up from USCIS. There was a great guy who listened to me with patience and offered to help, he called up my post office while i was on the other line, and checked with them as to why the status is not updated. He gave me the my post office's delivery supervisor's name and said that he will contact me after searching it. Finally, I got the call from supervisor within 10min and said that he found my package. I rushed to post office immediately to avoid any more surprise and got it. I advise every one to set up the alerts from USPS as soon as you get the tracking number from USCIS and when it reaches your nearby post office, it's better to go in person and take the package in this context. Also, as soon as you get approval, double check with USCIS that the address they sent to is correct by calling them at call center.

Take Care.

EAD
In my view, USCIS is sending a powerful message. They want to curb legal immigration, by the means of passive aggression. How do we know that?

Waiting times are OFF THE CHARTS and you can’t even schedule an infopass anymore!!!

EAD is a 7 page application, simplest thing in the world if you read it, and the most essential BENEFIT a legal immigrant needs to obtain; to survive in his new home.

They stress emphasis for immigrants not to use social services, and yet, do this...

A nasty double edge sword
