EAD-Resent Card timeline
Hi- Just wanted to share my experience since reading this forum was so helpful to me!
I-485/I-131/ I-786 Marriage based to get greencard and EAD. Start date of 3/26/19. NBS center. EAD got approved 8/31 and sent to us 9/1. It got sent back to USCIS as undelivered as it was sent to our old address. Make sure to update every application MSC number with your new address. The card got resent to USCIS 9/10/19. I set up a request to resend card on 9/1/19. I got a response from USCIS that it would be resent on 9/24/19. They asked us not to contact them for another 120 days. After 6 weeks; we finally got the card resent on 10/31 and we received it today 11/2! The resent card was not updated in USCIS website. I got notice only through USPS Informed delivery that something was coming my way. The tracking number was only through USPS- so I highly recommend signing up for this. In the end- the USCIS website was not updated when the card was resent. I hope others find this info helpful. I was so stressed for so long- but now we have it! Thank god! I also wrote a note on my mailbox for the postal worker to come to my door or call me!

EAD Expedite Request Finally Approved
Nothing has changed on my online yet (still fingerprint received) but I got i-797 saying my EAD got approved based on1-485. I hope to get my actual card in the next few weeks.

I-485 I-765 I-131 received in mid-June
Ready to schedule interview status in early October
Filed expedite request through USCIS since I will lose my current job if I don't get my EAD card by the end of November when my company renews everyone's contract and bonus, etc. I faxed my company letter also. I also tried Congressman but got denied since they think F-1 student who has a job should be able to live on savings for a while...............

NYC filing based on marriage. Used to be an F-1 student.

I genuinely hope everyone on this forum gets their EAD soon. The good news is that I heard from Congressman that cases get approved faster as we getting into the end of the year.

EAD expedite
Hello,
Is there anyway I can expedite my EAD/AP? We are in no financial problems. But I worked on my OPT EAD, which expired while waiting for the new EAD (C09) marriage based. They said I can come back once I have new EAD. Is there anyway I can expedite? Or do I just wait?

New Card being produced
Thank you Lord....God is a good God!
Prayers work!

@Flowersjune your a source of inspiration, you shared valuable information.

Tears falling down my cheeks, screaming deep in my heart!

As of October 31st New Card is being Processed for form I765
As of October 31st Your name was updated (whatever that means) form I131

Now Flowersjune shared this information but I think most of us didn't understand as the site is a bit harder to navigate.

The website USCIS does not update your status when there are changes on your profile.

You all should sign up with this website my.uscis.gov that website shows you the progress

Tonight being Friday and was expecting some changes on my account after 4 months and 20days I logged into my USCIS profile and no changes. I went into my depression mode.

Then I read FlowersJune experience and her PD is one day older than mine June 11, 2019, I signed up with my.uscis.gov/account and I scream from the top of my lungs to see the message

'AS OF OCTOBER 31 NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED."

I guess nothing happen before the time because I got into that website tonight only to see that my case was updated yesterday...God is a good God.

FlowersJune your time and effort to share this information have my spirit lifted so high tonight..I have to say thank you.

I know the questions that will go through your heads when you read so I am going to try to answer them just to ensure you all have a idea of my timeline.

Marriage based Filer out of NJ, NBC service center
Filed I131, I130, I 765, I 485 on June 9

Filed my own papers no law firm

USCIS got my applications and sent me email and text message on June 11 that they recieved my case and sent mails.
My biometric letter was received on June 22, for Biometric on July 12

Aug 23 I recieved text message and email again that my I485 form was "Ready yo be schedule for interview" as of Aug 22.

All other cases was still 'case received" as of June 11 (PD)

I login on USCIS wwbsite everyday and nothing...

Tonight i login again and still nothing....

Signed up with my.uscis.gov and low and behold was case was updated New Card being produced...God is a good God.

I didn't file ant SR...no expedited...from past applicants that I know from NJ their timeline they got their EAD after 4.5 months so I used that to say October will be my month...I waited patiently and October is my month.

Thank you all...your experiences shared have been a blessing and they say who feels it knows it...until your in such a situation you will not understand the frustration we has filers go through...so thank you all for sharing your experiences...Gob bless you all!

Nebraska May Filer | Got SR response
I filed for Employment based AOS along with EAD, AP in May 2019 at Nebraska Service Center.

My EAD was out of processing time last week and I was able to raise an SR. The day after I raised the SR, USCIS adjusted the processing times and moved the "Receipt date for case enquiry" behind by several days. That made my case move to within the regular processing times. However they did respond to my SR as follows:

"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the USCIS Contact Center (NCSC) at the number provided below."

Has anybody else gotten the same response? It looks like the SR response hasn't been very helpful. So I guess I'll have to continue to wait and monitor.

After you file an expedite...
After you file an expedite...

"USCIS will email you the results of your expedite request. If the expedite is approved, it is normally processed within 3-7 days of the request, and the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) arrives within normal mailing time. You may not work until the EAD arrives. If the expedite is denied, your application will be returned to the queue where it was before."
