Congressman expedite
Hi all,

I asked the congressman office to assist in expediting my EAD. My PD is March 22, 2018. Does anyone know how long USCIS takes to respond to the Congressman office? Are the responses normally good or bad? I filed for expedite based on severe Financial loss to a person.

347 Days After
My wife is a F2A filer. We got married back in 2016 and sent our i-130 right after with PD Aug 11th, which coincidentally became current a couple fo weeks ago.

We were elegible to file the AOS in Oct 2017, which we did and my receipt day was Oct 16th 2018.

On November 20th my wife put her finger prints.
On March 5th we open a SR on the EAD/AP which we didnt get a response
On March 29th we open a second SR. In April 13th they said it would take 60 days.
On June 15th (62 days after) I asked my congresswoman to help. Completely useless, her office dissapointed me even more than the slow process.
On July 15th we opened a third SR, no response.
On ~Aug 15th we opened a fourth SR through a T1 officer, response on Aug 20th, you should get a reponse soon.
On Aug 30th I went to an Info-Pass, with no help as the case was still on NBC.
On Sept 13th I contacted my senator and they would inquire on our behalf,
On Sept 28 my wife's card is being produced. 347 days after NBC received the case.

Over all this time my lawyer, who I paid $X,ZZZ to represent, was useless by the way, I followed experienced from folks here. I still haven heard back from senator , but I think they helped.

I am proud of seen how strong my wife has been over these 2+ years without visiting her family and 1+ with out work permit, but this has been tortuous. Keep the faith up!

PD vs Receipt Date.
Hi everyone.

Been reading on this forum the last couple of weeks and finally decided to join, haha.

I have a question, which I assume might be basic to those who have some experience in this process(waiting for EAD/Ap)

Whats the difference between PD(Priority Date) and Receipt Date?

I called USCIS yesterday and they told me my PD is April 3, 2018.

My receipt date is April 16, 2018.

I guess my doubt is when can I "expedite" it? Would it be when the "Receipt date for a case inquiry" shows "April 16", or would it be when it shows "April 3"?

The lady on the phone never really specified that part.

Kind regards,
Anthony

Ps. Im applying from Philly. My stuff is at the NBC.

Hope for all filers
Hi!

So I received an update on my i765, says card was mailed. I just hung up the phone with a very nice lady from uscis and she told me the decision on my case is done and I’m approved and I should be receiving a tracking number in the next couple of days.

I was super frustrated but they are apparently picking up the pace. Now ya 4 yo 6 months.

Keep the faith!

PD 5/29
Bio 6/25
Fingerprint review completed as of 6/26: 07/06
Card mailed 9/27

No expedite, SR or inquiries.

June 4th filer
Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and very grateful for all of the experiences you guys have shared. I'm hoping some of you guys might be able to help me with my situation.

I submitted my I-765 on June 4th of this year, and it seems like I should have gotten some sort of update on my fingerprints review being completed by now? But I haven't :( It's still under "Case was received." Should I expect a long wait for them to even approve my EAD?

I did reach out to my Congressman's office recently and forwarded them my Privacy Release form. I'm not even sure if that'll be much of help.

I do understand there are some people who filed even back in March are still waiting on theirs. I'm just trying to understand the process a little better.

Thanks!

Outside Normal Processing Time
This is very strange.

My PD / Received Date is 28 March 2018.

Today I went to USCIS "Check Case Processing Times" - https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

And for my case, it was like this:
* Estimated time range: 4 Months to 6 Months
* Form type: Based on a pending I-485 adjustment application [(c)(9)]
* Receipt date for a case inquiry: April 01, 2018

The instructions said:
"If your receipt date is before the “Receipt date for a case inquiry", you can submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online."

So my recept date is BEFORE the "case inquire date".
After filling the E-Request to submit the OUTSIDE NORMAL PROCESSING TIME, I've got the following message:

"Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage.
If you have other questions regarding your application or petition, contact USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY).'

I don´t know... I will try again in a few days :-(

Confused/excited?
Hello guys,

you probably know me by now since I post like 3 times a minute.

I was at the park with my dog having fun and I got a text update about i-765. The update is that they mailed my card and I should receive it by Oct. 12. Since I got no tracking # and no previous update like everyone else (case approved/card in production/mailed) I decided to give them a call. Only to be welcomed by an officer telling me they are having technical difficulties and I should call back tomorrow.

I don't know if the update is going to be real or just part of the difficulties.

PD 5/29

What do you guys think?
