March filer stressed out
Hi guys. Today is a very stressful day for me. My PD is March 22, 2018.

I have been waiting patiently but our family is financially stressed out now and I need to work. I filed for expedite on September 6th and received a letter on the 14th to fax evidence which we did on September 17th. To date, my case status still reads Case Received. I have called twice to know if the documents were received but no one can help me.

Anyone in my position?

Additional information:
Came on a B1/B2 Visa
Married to USC
From Texas
Case at NBC

Feeling depressed and hopeless now

Received EAD no Social Security Number
Hi yall,

I have been a silent reader. This website and everyone helped me to be a little more patient with the process by comparing timelines to keep track.

I have a social security number experience I would like to share in hopes it would help someone who is in the same situation. Maybe help get your SSN 1 week sooner.

I got married to a USC in January 2018 looked for lawyer in Feb. but he was so popular I could not
get an appointment until March.

No expiding or anything.

Here is my Timeline:

04/9/18 PD
4/20 Biometrics/Fingerprint appt. notice
5/8 Biometrics/Fingerprint done
8/21 Approval notice of EAD and AP
9/4 Card was picked up by USPS
9/6 Tracked card was being delivered today
9/6 Combo card/EAD and AP in hand
9/17 Waited 7 business days called SSA toll free number. Rep was clueless told me to wait 1 more week.
9/19 Signed up for informed delivery with USPS
9/20 2 weeks still nothing. I'm miserable decided to visit SSA on Tuesday if nothing on Monday.
9/25 SSA opened at 9am. I was in at 9:01am got a ticket sat for a few minutes then was called to a window. She was very fast and helpful nothing had been done so she started the process. Would arrive in the mail 7-10 days.

*** Advice *** After 7 business days just go straight to the nearest SSA and check the status on your Social security number. It would give you peace of mind and if it did get bungled up at least they would start the process right away.

EAD timeline - April 2018 applicant
Hi all,

Thanks everyone for posting their experiences. Really helpful during the last few stressful months. Here is my timeline.

Married USC in Washington DC and applied for adjustment of status, EAD and advance parole (NBC). Previously on F1 visa which expired in July.

- Case received: April 17
- Request for evidence (translation of birth certificate): May 4
- Fingerprint review completed: May 10
- Evidence received: May 16
- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview: May 30
- Called to expedite based on job offer and financial loss (did not call Senator): September 19
- New card is being produced: September 20
- EAD and Advance Parole approved: September 21 (strange that the approval notice came after they said the card was in production).
- Card mailed to me: September 24
- Combo card in my hands: September 26

So my case seems to be under their current 'normal' processing times for the NBC. Not sure if calling to expedite worked as I never got a confirmation or request for more evidence and my card was in production the next day. I decided to try expediting once I got my job offer and argued that I had a few months without income already and my employer is a non profit working in different projects across the US. I would give that a shot if you can.

Hang in there, be patient, and best of luck to everyone!!

How to follow up my EAD
Good morning friends,
Please let me know how can I follow up my EAD? Is there any center or costumer service which I can call? What is their number?
My brief story:
I've been granted asylum last year and in the letter that I received they said I will receive new EAD in 2 weeks. I just learned from USPIS account that I and my wife had 2 package from USCIS, the sender addresses are:
USCIS- LEES SUMMIT PRODUCTION FACILITY LEES SUMMIT ,MO
and
USCIS-CORBIN PRODUCTION FACILITY CORBIN ,KY
But they were delivered to my old address not current address. I called the property office and they said they received nothing. I want to see if they were notice of action, that they send prior to EAD, or EADs. And let them know that I changed my address about 1 month ago at USCIS website.

Thank you!

Does EAD card depends on previous "Interview ready to be scheduled"?
Hello everyone!

Here an AOS filer from Texas, based on marriage to USC (c9). My timeline:

PD: 06/29/18
Biometrics: 07/16/18
"Fingerprint Review Was Completed" (i-485 & i-765): 08/08/18

But still not changed to "Interview ready to be scheduled" in i-485 , neither in i-765 in USCIS web. I have seen here that in most or all the cases that the status changes to "New Card is Being Produced" there is a previous "Interview ready to be scheduled" for any of both forms. Please, anyone that has received the EAD without this previous status?

Thank you and luck for y'all!!!

Still waiting for EAD
Hello everyone,

Here is my timeline:
PD March 26, 2018
Biometrics: April 16, 2018

I'm still waiting for my EAD to be approved. Spoke with my lawyer and she told me to wait. I'm not sure how much longer I can wait this out though.🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I heard people saying they filed in June and already have their card in hand. I want to do an expedite but I'm not sure how to approach it. I check my case status online and it's still saying my case was received. I also check their processing time online and as of today they are at March 27, 2018. Do you guys think it's time to raise a service request or I should wait a little longer. Also I need to call them about my case so if someone could share the appropriate number and who do I talk to that would greatly appreciated. By the way my service center is NBC and a NY filer. My US citizen husband petition for me on a B1/B2 visitors visa. If someone else have the same experience and still waiting please share. Thank you! 😊

Card in hand! Finally!!!
Was on F1 status...OPT expired on June 26th, 2018.
Married to a USC, filed for AOS on April 21st.
Applied for EAD (C9) on May 21...NBC
Status remained the same (Case received).
Got a job offer on August 3rd.
i read on this forum in August that you can expedite, so I called my congressman and also USCIS to expedite.
Sent congressman my job offer and privacy release form on August 29th, also USCIS request to expedite based on financial loss to company.

September 4th: Got an email to fax evidence, evidence faxed.

September 7th: Congressman contacted USCIS to know status and was told it was on the queue, no timeline given as they had a lot of exigent and humanitarian cases to expedite.

September 14th: Card in Production
September 18th: Card mailed
September 21st: Card delivered!

The past few months were indeed nerve wrecking for me, With me refreshing the USCIS page every other hour and praying.

For all those waiting, try the expedite process, it works! In my own case, I am not sure if it was the congressman's involvement or expediting through USCIS that worked. So try both and hang in there!
