Always being a quiet reader on this forum, my experience! Pd November 3, 2017 .made several service request, re I 765, I 485, i130. Every time I call can't seems to get any update on my case, been to congressman office nothing either. In June 2018, I received a letter in the mail about RFIE.with the assistance of my lawyer RFIE was mailed off to uscis office, on September10, 2018 I made another call to usics to find out that my case have denied. I have never had no record or any offence with the law. Anyone with same experience or advice.

Advice
I applied after getting married to my wife, she USC in APRIL 27,2018.
i received mail to go for fingerprints that i did in may 27 2018
i had submitted 485,765,130,131 and all documents by lawyer
but when i check my online status on USCIS site ,it only say On May 2, 2018, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case.
and i have another online status this ,On April 27, 2018, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization,
now my question is it has passed 4 and half month i don't have any news from them
so what should i do because i do not have idea where my case stand right now ?
Anyone else has similar experience please give me some advice

Received RFIE 126 days after PD for I-485
I applied for a AOS after my marriage with my wife. She's a USC. I sent in both I-765 and I-131.

My PD was 05/15/18
My biometrics were completed as well.

I just received an email saying an RFIE(initial evidence) was sent. Still waiting to see the actual notice.

It's already been 126 days from PD and I've been waiting for approval this week. But unfortunately that's not going to happen now.

Has anyone experienced similar situations with RFIE coming so late? I'm very worried to restart the cycle again, can't wait another 5 months to get the EAD. Already experiencing severe financial issues with me not being able to work.

Any thoughts about similar experiences?

Concurrent vs. Separate Filing
Anyone who experienced the difference between filing concurrently and separately.
I filed my i-765 and i-131 a week after receiving the action notice for my i-485 and i-130.
I already completed my biometrics for both and the lady who took my 2nd biometrics (for EAD/AP) said that what I did was a faster process than filing everything altogether (concurrent).
Any thoughts or experience? Please share.

Below is my timeline (which I will update as soon as I have news):

i-131; i-485 PD: July 18, 2018
Biometrics (10 fingers): August 14, 2018

i-765; i-131 PD: August 6, 2018
Biometrics (index only): August 28, 2018

No update on both DHS and USCIS websites (received status).

Social Security number
Hi everyone, I am an applicant for AOS
I just got my combo card in mail in Sep 7th last week.
However I’m waiting for my Social Security Card which my lawyer said it’ll be arrived in the mailbox in a week after I received my combo card.
So today it’s been a week and I still didn’t see any SSN envelope.

Short story I reached out to my lawyer and she suggested me to reach out to SSA, however I talked to SSA and they want me to submit my application in person.
And bring few documents
-original brith certificate
-EAD card etc

I don’t have the original birth certificate with me at the moment so I’m worried if I can’t apply for SSN with that but somehow I used it for AOS and it was fine.

Is there any of you receiving the SSN in the mailbox ?
Or experiencing this SSN process without showing the original birth certificate?

I’m leaving abroad in 2 weeks so I need to get it done as soon as possible so my spouse needed to submit his Tax by October though I know to have the SSN in hand will takes few weeks.

Thanks guys!

SSN Card
Hello everyone,

My EAD was delivered on Sep 11th, I still have not received the SSN card. I went to the Social Security offices but I was told they still have not received the application from USCIS, how long did you guys wait after receiving your EAD?

I know quite a few people have been receiving their SSN cards on or before the day they received their EAD.

Thanks

September 5 Cases
Hi Everyone,

Can you please reply here:

If your status changed to "Card was mailed to me" on and only on "September 5th" and you still haven't received the card or got a tracking number.

Would love to understand how many folks are in the same boat as me.
