Should I be worried?
Nov 17 filer here and I have yet to get my EAD card. I just found out my i485 interview has been scheduled and I don’t have my EAD approved yet. Does this mean my i485 is going to get rejected after the interview? This is making me anxious

MAY Filer - C09 - NBC
Hello everyone. My turn to share my expedience.

NBC Office
Married to USC / C09

*Current EAD from DACA which expired 8/9/18*
- 2/9/18: Filed i485 and i-130
- 03/18: RFE sent
- 05/18/18: Filed i-765 (renewal)
- Received notice from USCIS with 180 extension for renewals and HR accepted.
- 9/5/18: Called USCIS and requested EAD to be expedited due to financial hardship (HR kept asking for update)
- 9/6/18: USCIS reviewed the expedite and requested evidence of financial hardship. The same day I faxed the letter from HR and a copy of some of my bills .
- 9/21/18: The status has now changed to: "Card being produced" -9/21/19

My case was a little different because I already had a EAD from DACA and now I was just renewing under the pending i485.

FYI: I tried calling my congressman and they were not willing to help.

Let me know if you guys have any questions about my process.

God bless! :)

Oct 2017 F2A card in hand after almost a year
Filed I485, 765 and 131 in Oct 2017
10/06/2017 Application received
Filed SR in March and May 2017, received generic response
Request to expedite in July based on financial loss, mailed evidence
08/01/2018 expedite request assigned for response and was completed (on the same day)
Received a mail saying expedite request completed, pending decision.
09/13/2018 I765 and 131 approved
09/17/2018 Card produced and mailed (with tracking)
09/20/2018 Received Combo card in priority mail

USCIS seems to work in its own mysterious way…nothing seems to work when it comes to rushing them.

I recommend to download the Case Tracker App It's an easy way to check your status on your phone. The app also allows you to see how other case are doing, that applied around the same time as you.

Good Luck!

L2 EAD RENEWAL
Hi all,

I am the wife of an L1 visa holder. I am an L2 applying for EAD renewal.

Sharing my experience on here to give hope to some.
This is my 5th EAD process over the 4.5 years I have lived here in the USA. All previous times have been stressful but always within processing time. My current EAD expires Sept 25th. Here is my timeline--

6/14 PD filed @ Texas
9/17 Raised SR Stating Severe Financial Loss
9/18 SR Denied (via email - this denial came from Vermont, not sure if my case was moved there or this is where all SR are looked in to?)
9/20 Notification of Card Being Processed

So now I am just waiting for my card to arrive in my mailbox. Guys, I was so stressed about not getting the EAD in time. I am employed by a big corporation here in America. We were making arrangements for me to go back to England and work from there whilst waiting for the EAD to come through. Earlier this week I even booked my flight to return home to the UK to continue working (now that's a waste!). Please explore this option with your employer whilst you wait. My employer did not suggest this option, I did, and they liaised with their legal counsel and found out this was a fine way to proceed.

I would advise all to make sure you have filed everything meticulously to avoid RFE and raise SR as soon as you're at 90 days. I got denied officially but then a few days later I got notified card was being processed so maybe SR drew attention to my case. On the phone when raising the SR I was very polite, made sure I expressed my worry and was very thankful and complimentary to the man at the help centre. I feel extremely lucky and wish you all good luck!

I will update when I have card in hand.
