April filer, EAD card in production for over a week
Hi,

I'm married to a USC, filed in NY (case is handled by NBC)

4/6/2018 - case received (I-485, I-765)
8/16/2018 - called the USCIS to expedite based on a job offer
8/20/2018 - received an email from USCIS, asking to fax them the job offer. Faxed right away.
8/23/2018 - status changed to "my new card is being produced"
8/26/2018 - received a letter from the USCIS saying that my EAD has been approved.

It's been more than a week since the status has changed to "card being produced".
I felt very happy when it happened since I saw on this forum that it usually takes a few days for them to mail the card. But it's been 8 days and no change in the status.
I'm really frustrated now and I don't understand what is taking so long, since the case has been approved. I really don't understand why is the card production taking so long.

That's it, just wanted to share my experience since this seems to be the only place where people are in a similar situation and understand the anxiety and frustration I'm feeling...

Good luck to everyone!

Waiting since November 2017
So today I went to the immigration field office in Miami. Because my case is a VAWA case, I couldn’t expedite over the phone. I either had to do it in person or have a lawyer do it on my behalf. The field agent sent an email to the Vermont center asking to expedite my case. She also told me that they started working on case on August 24th. I’ve already lost my job. My boss said rehiring me wouldn’t be a problem. I just hope that they approve my EAD soon. They need to implement a better process so that people won’t lose their jobs. Not every immigration wants to mooch off the government. I at one point had two jobs. I have goals I want to accomplish and this experience has knocked me off track...again.

EAD is being produced
Hi!

Married to USC. Filed I485, I130, I131, I765 all together to NBC.

I look at my case in my.uscis.gov

PD: 04/04/2018
EAD Being Produced: 08/30/2018

I requested for expedite using my job offer letter on 08/15/2018. So I think it was a big factor to have it 2 weeks after my request. I also asked my congressman to help. But I did not hear from him, so I am not sure he was also a factor or not.

Anyone knows how long typically takes from EAD being produced to I receive the card?

Wish y'all luck!

DId you get your EAD without expedite?
Hi!

Si I’m curious as to how many filers had their EAD approved without expediting the case.

Can those who didn’t expedite share their timelines? I feel like all the people that have gotten approved lately had done an expedite and I’m losing hope.

Thanks

195 days EAD still waiting
Feb 15, 2018 RD
NSC
EB2-NIW
Concurrent filer

195 and nothing has changed. Congressional and Ombundsman complaints. SR raised on all accounts and told decision will be made in 60 days. Many people in January took over 200 days for EAD and AP. It may take this long for other Jan and Feb filers.

I-765 Approved
I am absolutely beside myself, and aside from calling my husband, this was the only place that would appreciate the news.

PD 05/03 (C09, NBC, Pending 485)

My situation:

I have been contracting for a company who restructured and will no longer employ contractors. I had to become an FTE or lose my job. Job offer start date 9/4. My position is highly specialized and my team is small.

Called 1-800 number 8/23 to file Expedite Request and provided them with the above-mentioned information.

Received updates on Egov website 8/27 that request was received, assigned and completed. Also received an email with the same information.

No status change 8/28, escalated to L2, they told me to wait 30 days (not an option)

8/29 I reach out to my Congressman for assistance and at 2:13pm they file a congressional inquiry on my behalf.

8/30 no status update so I call USCIS to confirm that they received the inquiry and they tell me that my 765 was approved 8/29 at 7:21am and my approval notice was mailed. This means that my case was adjudicated and approved BEFORE my congressional inquiry was sent.

No evidence was requested.

NEITHER of the websites (DHS or EGOV) or my Case Tracker app have updated.

Reached out to the Congressman's office to update them and they are going to call USCIS to request their formal written response and confirmation that my card is being sent.

SR for EAD and AP
hey, guys

I'm a May filler (PD is May 1st). My case status on the website is "Case Received" for both forms.I know it's still within normal processing time but I wanted to know what is a service request. Could I make one just to know how far ahead they are with my processes? I'm afraid this will make this more complicated...

Anyway, this whole thing is so frustrating....

thanks
