I’m set to receive my EAD tomorrow (Thank God)
The first thing I’m going to do is apply for a drivers license. For those in Florida (of course over 21), did you have to take the Drug and Alchol Test? I’m probably going to go Wednesday and just want to be set with no surprises!!!
Also, I haven’t received my social security card as of yet? From people’s experiences on here I see MOST got it before the EAD should I be worried that I may have the EAD before my social even though I opted in on the i765 form?

Filed I-485, I-765 & I-131 on Dec 1, 2017
Recently on Aug 9, 2108 I expedite my EAD based on H1B expires on Sept 12, 2018 and will loose my job, send them evidence as requested as on Aug 21 RFE on I-485 asking for Birth certificate in its original language send it next day USCIS received on 23 Aug status changed RFE received and will give you the decision after reviewing your evidence.
Any one else experience this and got approval before H1B expires?

I know that EAD is valid for 1 year and I wonder if a driving license will only be valid for one year. Thanks in advance.

No updates since then...
Aug 18th We ordered your card.
Aug 22nd We shipped your card.
Aug 24th Card in Hand.
I don't have a job offer so I didn't call to expedite and the only thing you can do is just wait. Seems like April filers are getting their cards. Hopefully I can find a job soon.

Case update - notice to schedule interview may 31st

Don't want to post date timeline till we actually receive EAD card in hand but status has been updated to picked up by USPS today so hopefully we get it by Monday or Tuesday of next week.
Just wanted to ask can everyone post where they filed from and also please download USCIS Case Tracker!! This app is so helpful and actually receives updates faster than online and the USCIS contact center ~,~. Also with the app you can check not only your case progress but also the progress of other filers are that have applied around the time that you did.
As always thanks for always posting update this forum gives me hope :)

In the end of July 2018, contacted congressman's office for help.
August 15, got response from congressman's office
August 20, new card (EAD) produced and interview was scheduled.
Sometimes your representative helps A LOT. Without their help, I have no idea how long I have to keep waiting.
