Request Expedite for EAD
Hi everyone, I need your advice. I am a June 2018 filer, so my EAD hasn't been pending too long. However, my spouse recently lost their job because their whole department was closed down. We get health insurance through my spouses work, and my spouse needs this insurance to receive treatment for serious medical conditions. We qualify for COBRA but without an income we cannot afford it.

Do you think this qualifies as an emergency situation to have the EAD expedited? This obviously is not what we wanted to happen.

I currently do not have a job offer for a professional job. If I get EAD I can drive Uber or work at a department store to get money to pay for the health insurance while I look for a professional job, so that I can take care of my spouse.

Do you think that the chances of having it expedited would be improved if I waited to request it until I have a professional job that offers health insurance?

I think my spouse will find another job before the interview but we need to survive this interim period which is going to be difficult to do.

May 2018 PD
Hey guys. I do know there are people still waiting from 2017, but i have read here of people with february and march 2018 PD getting their EAD.
Has anyone with May 2018 PD any news??? Just asking.

And please what happens after receiving this email:
"We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time
We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on June....."

Please guys let me know. Thanks

I-485 approved
Hey everyone!! My husbands Pd is 1/22/18 and we received an update our I-485 is approved and interview is ready to be scheduled in the New Orleans Office. But our lawyer said the interview could still be months away.

We have not received his Ead. From what I understand the Ead should now get approved or is usually approved for the I-485.

Has anyone had the same situation? Should we try to file a service request to get the Ead looked at or with a congressman?

When we started the process it was 90 days and every time we get to be at the end of the processing time, they extend it another month. What options do we have?

Card mailed to me
Hi everyone,

From the moment your I-765 status changes to "Card was mailed to me", when can you get a tracking number?

I have USPS informed delivery activated but I don't see anything yet on the incoming packages section.

Thanks!!

Traveling with the EAD
I have the EAD but still waiting for the GC. And I just received a RFE asking for a document that I need to pick up in Cuba.
The question is: Do you think it is ok to fly to/from the island entering the US with the EAD? Or the the immigration could stop me because I am coming from Cuba and waiting a GC based in a Cuban visa?
I am thinking if I should go anywhere else and from there, to Cuba..

USPS F **** ing up
There we go!

Finally my EAD is with USPS but I don’t know why they’re lying about delivering it. They said they tried to deliver here two times and they said they couldn’t find me. First time they said they left a notice but they didn’t. Second time they said they couldn’t have accesss to the place that’s another lie because the gate stays open.

I don’t know if someone at USPS stole my card and is writing in Informed Delivery to sound like they’re trying.

Tomorrow I’m going to the post office and if they don’t have it I’m gonna call the police.

Has anybody had a similar experience?
