Infopass - Nov filer
Hello,

I did an infopass today morning in Dallas(Irving,TX) and the officer said there nothing much I can do now other that to wait. As there were a lot of applications during 2017 2nd half, there are delays and family based applications will be given lower priority compared to employment based applications based on the instruction given to them. In family based, F2As will be lowest precedence.

on the other note, they said they mailed be the details related to my expedite request, but i didnt receive any(waiting for 8 days now).

Routed for expedite timeline
Hi all,

For those of you who got notified by a Congressperson's office that your EAD/AP case was "routed for expedite processing":

1) How many days since this date did you see your case was approved/in production? (My case is with NBC)
2) Did you call USCIS to hear about any updates and did you get any, or where the officers on the phone never able to see this?

The Congressperson's office told me my case was routed on 7/2, and I'm still hopeful I can get my combo card by 7/14, which is basically my deadline to not lose a job offer. I know it varies case by case, but was just wondering.... Thank you!

Ead approved after almost a year since received!!!
After contacting ombudsman and raising a lot of sr's until i received an email from ombudsman in May saying that my case is under active review, I thought that it was just a generic response, and kind of ignored it I don't know if that helped or not but finally after losing all my hopes, my EAD got approved June 29, I still have to get the physical card in mail, If I don't get it by tomorrow I will probably call uscis and ask for a tracking number.

Received date 07 August 2017

RFE
Here is my timeline

Submitted on 29th Nov 2017
Received on 1st Dec 2017 by NBC
Biometrics 26th Dec 2017

Did get no response and waited till 5months which was case processing time for NBC.raised an SR on 1st May 2018 by my attorney and was told he will get a feedback in 2 weeks (14th May) waited and didn't get nothing so i called myself and was told that i had to wait till the expiration of 30 days before raising another SR.

By this time i contacted my congressman and he was told that case is still within processing time. in between on the 29th May i got a mail requesting for RFE (JOINT SPONSOR) upon receipt they will make a decision on my case same was mailed to congressman.

Does anyone know how long it takes for case to be approved after submitting RFE?

Total wait time 211 long days

Expedite Experience
We have contacted our congressman, senator & USCIS to try and expedite my husbands EAD & AP. All this was done last week & the week before. If he doesn’t get it by the 25th he will lose his position with the company and we have sent them all the supporting documents. Can anyone please tell me what worked with them to get this process moving? We will do anything at this point.
Filed: March 8th
Fingerprint: April 16th
Requests to expedite for USCIS: June 28th
Congressman & Senator: June 26/27
Losing his job July: 25th

Why is this process so stressful? Is there hope?

EAD card being produced / 147 days
Finally, after 147 days, i got an update through my dhs account, “we are producing your card and will mail it to you.”

Sharing with you my timeline and experience:

Married to USC, C9 concurrent filing at NBC
From California
PD: 2/2/2018
Biometrics: 3/15/2018
No updates received in dhs/egov account since case receipt date on 2/15/2018
No SR raised
No expedite request made
No help requested from Ombudsman/Congressman/Senator
EAD card being produced: 6/29/2018
AP: “we corrected your name for your case”: 6/29/2018 (i don’t know what went wrong here but the notification says I don’t need to do anything)
I-130: no update
I-485: no update

I just waited patiently (and impatiently too sometimes). And still trying to patiently wait for the rest of my cases.

I hope this gives you a bit of hope. :)

Sending all of you good vibes and may your good news come sooner.

Best of luck!
