Background check
Just called USCIS and they gave me the same update as last week: your case is with an officer since June 11. However, I asked for info on my I-485 and he said that as of yesterday there was a favorable update on the FBI name check (meaning my name didn't come up on the FBI name list). Can this be what unlocks my application? Also, are there other types of background checks that need to be done, or is the FBI one the most important one? Thank you!

Can someone explain how come it’s taking longer and longer. How long does it take to process eAD. If u done background check , how long does it take to process application? Everything is in the system, application is 2 pages long???? Like come on? How do they work there???

Expedite question
Been reading up here for a while now and I share many people's pain.
Spouse of a LPR, filed I-485, I-131, I-765 on 11/03/2017 (237 days ago). PD current for a while now.
Tried multiple SRs, contacted Ombudsman, nothing. Response to last SR was that they will give a decision within 60 days.
Finally, requested an expedite with an MBA admission offer letter. Not sure if it will work. Faxed evidence on 6/26/2018.
My question is: How long does it take them to review the evidence and adjudicate on the expedite? And how do they inform you of the expedite decision?
Worried that I will not be able to start my MBA in August if I don't get my EAD and SSN.

Question on signing up for email notifications
I want to sign up for e-mail notifications, and I was wondering what to put on the "Country/Region" part of the sign up screen on Personal Info
It does not clarify if it's my country of origin or where I live - - but then it asks for the address, but I haven't lived in my home country for 4+ years... I just want to make sure I'm entering the right thing.

EAD Expedite Unsuccessful(230 days now)
Not sure what is going on.
Jun 25: I called L2 officer and requested to expedite my case as i had a job offer letter. She created a expedite request and i was expecting them to ask of evidence. But today evening, they closed my expedite request along with 4th Service request without any update. Online status update say they sent me a response but I couldnt find anything in my email. Why are they treating us in this manner? No clue what to do now?

126 after I'm still waiting EAD approval
Good afternoon all
I check everyday this Forum trying find some answers to my situation. I should say I have learn a lot with your responses.
I am a E2 Spouse, that's the third time I apply for a Work Visa, so it's a renewal.
Those are the times.
Send for renewal on Feb 20 to Dallas Office
Redirected and received by USCIS Vermont Office on Feb 22
On May 18 I request expedite my case and it was denied. I tried again on May 23 and it was denied again
My work permit expired on May 22 and I left my job.
Request of Evidence Notice on Jun 7
USPS tracking info said the document were at Vermont Office on Jun 14
Receive confirmation by USCIS on Jun 18 all evidences were received
They are 126 days since I sent all paper forms and since Jun 18 my status is "request for evidence was received".
Is there something I can do? I don't know maybe ask my employer for a letter.
I am so frustrated. Everyday I think is the day when my status is going to change.

I filed my AOS 2.12.2018
I started looking for jobs in May and 2 companies showed interest in me. so I took chance and made the call to expedite without an offer yet... lol
I went to school here in the States, so the jobs were very good and high paying jobs
5/15/18- Called to expedite on financial Loss
5/16/18 - Email requesting " proof of pending job offer" to be faxed to a number
Oopss. I wasn't ready yet. lol
But I finally got an offer 6/6/18 to start work 7/9/18
6/7 - Faxed letter
6/8 - Emailed my congressman's office and ombudsman
6/11- Called my congressman's office. got intouch with the immigration representative. sent all documents, filled out the release form.. The representative emailed liason that day
6/12- Email from USCIS "Case under review"
6/13- Contacted congressman's representative to be sure. lol. Also called USCIS.. NO help. smh
6/14- Congressman's representative showed me letter from Liason that my case was expedited
6/15 - Called USCIS again.. still under review... blah blah blah
6/18- Panicking here contacted my senator. sent my offer letter
faxed offer letter and hospital and medical bills to USCIS AGAIN. begging. lol
6/19- Called USCIS again. still under review..
Went online an up in my first SR request. saying "my approval notice didn't come in the mail"
I cried like a baby on this night. I literally went to bed crying because time was ticking and the company wasn't going to extend the offer date. I felt like my expedite was taking longer than everyone
6/20 - Card in Production
6/22 - Card was mailed
6/27 - Card was delivered to attorneys office.
I didn't use my attorney because nobody really cares about your stuff like you. I did this myself, cried , fasted and prayed to God.
You have to be very persistent if you want to get this done.
Reach out to Congressman and Senator.. infact everyone.. heck I was ready to reach out to Obamas office to help. lol
