anyone had this experience
My husband went to a lawyer to make sure we knew how to do the AOS process by ourselves. The lawyer told him to go ahead and file 130 first and then everything else once this has been approved. We did exactly that since we thought she knew better than what i have been reading, turns out that after 7 months we got the form approved, then we sent everything else with the copy of this approval.
I registered on USCIS website and i found out that the approved form has been transferred to National Visa Center after USCIS received AOS and EAD paperwork, he did his biometrics on March 1st and since then we have not heard back. We let NVC know that we were doing the AOS and they asked to have that in writing which i have sent them 2 emails previous to talking to them. We got married June 2017, filed 130 later that month, approved on January, submitted 765 and 485 on 01/23/2018 its at NBC, biometrics done 3/1/2017 and still waiting for EAD.
Anyone had same experience? I am US citizen btw

C9 EAD-AP California
Hello everyone,

Wanna know if anyone at the same time frame and what do to, tired of waiting

Married USC C9
Filed I-131; I-130; I-765 March 14 was accepted. No more updates on the website.
Had my Biometric on April 18.
I-485 says as of April 25 we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, We will schedule your interview and send you a notice
But there is no updated that my fingerprints were processed for EAD and AP.

Did anyone had the same situation and were scheduled for the interview earlier than they got EAD and AP?
We were planning to travel in August/September but don't have AP so now we are stuck and can't do anything.

no C5-EAD since the case approved in March 2018
I am under Category C5, for me to be able to work in legal condition I need to renew I-765 EAD document every year.
This is my third time to renew EAD. The long waiting history details are following:

2017/11/30 received I797C NOTICE OF ACTION

2018/3/3 case approved

2018/3/6 EAD mail out

2018/3/19 EAD returned to USCIS due to incorrect mail postcode.

2018/3/26 e-requested my mail address correction from USCIS website and received referral ID# SR10...

2018/4/9 received a reply email from USCIS - it said I should received new EAD in mail within 30 days.

2018/5/19 no EAD in mailbox so I contacted USCIS customer services office talked to Level 2 officer more than 4 times.

2018/5/24 e-requested again from USCIS website and received another referral ID# SR1....

2018/7/3 No EAD. I contacted USCIS customer services office talked to Level 2 officer again.

It is over 3 months since my case approved. With no EAD in hand, my job is on hold and my employer is waiting for me to go back to work since May 1st. I feel helpless and I am also afraid the possible lose on my job position due to this issue.
Every time I contact USCIS customer services, I feel non of them are welling to follow up my case instead just put " a request". In the end it turns out like a black hole with no ending. I contacted my state senator on June 19, there is no response from there.
I never received I-797 approved notice of action from mail, otherwise I can give that document to my employer.

Does anyone have similar case like me and able to provide me some guidance? Thank you?

RFE received for EAD under A-18 category
I came to US in Feb 2018 along with my spouse (who is on L1 valid till May 2019). I am on L2 visa. I applied for EAD under A-18 category. After waiting for 108 days I got a RFE notice to submit below documents:
Principal's current status:
copy of employees current pay records, employment verification letter, federal income tax returns, W-2s

Applicant's status:
copy of form I-94, arrival-departure record, which was issued upon arrival in United States as well as any form I-797 approval notices issued for any extension of stay

My Doubt is:
1. We can submit pay stubs and employee verification letter for my spouse, but she has not filed for income tax returns and W-2s as we came to US in Feb 2018. What shall be our response for these?
2. I had already submitted my I-94 copy when I filed for EAD. Do I need to send the same copy again?
3. By arrival-departure record, do they mean the "Travel History Results" on I-94 website or is it just I-94 copy that is needed?
4. What does "form I-797 approval notices issued for any extension of stay" mean? I have not applied for any extension

Highly appreciate any guidance.

Wanted to share my experience
Hello everyone, I have been a member for a few months and wanted to share my experience.

Married to USC, hired a lawyer
01/29: Sent in all of my paperwork
02/02: Paperwork received
03/05: dis my biometrics (fingerprinting)
04/18: First SR
05/05: Second SR
05/16: Third SR
06/05: Response for all of my SR’s saying I was still within processing times
06/22: Card is being produced
06/28: Received tracking number
07/02: Card in hand!!! (Card would have been here 06/30 but it was mailed to my lawyer’s office which is closed on Saturdays)
Total from case received to card in hand: 150 days

I just want to add that I did contact my congressman after 92 days and I was told “your case is within normal procesaing times but call back in one month and we can make a few extra phone calls.”
Also wouls like to say that if you are going through a lawyer, ask them if they are mailing the cars to your home or to their office. I got the tracking number and was tracking it up until the day it was supposed to arrive. On that date it said “No access to delivery location” even though I had been home and did not see anyone trying to deliver a package. It wasn’t until I went to the USPS office and asked where it was that they told me it was sent to my lawyer’s address.

Good luck to everyone and don’t forget to stay positive!! It will happen soon enough!

Current J2 process times
Hi,

is anyone else waiting on their J-2 based EAD? We're at day 82, now. 75 days both last year and the year before. The website says 3-5 months now ... about to lose the job in 1 month if the EAD doesn't come.

Congressman Expedite
Hello,

Question. The congressman office allegued that they sent my case to expedite last Thursday based on a Job Offer, but in the USCIS website I don’t see anything as part of my updates (where the SR updates are)

does the update does not appear when the congressmen sends the documents to USCIS to expedite? They said they already send my offer letter to uscis and I have no reason to believe they are lying, on the other hand they have really helpful since the first time I contacted them. just want to see similar experiences
