EAD October 2017 Filers
Hello,

Below is my experience,

I am F2A filer, married to LPR.

Receipt date for I-485, I-765 and I-131 (C09 Category): 10/10/2017
Bio-metrics Completed on: 11/07/2017

259 days still counting.

I tried everything I can, went to info pass, contacted Ombudsman office and congressmen. I did called USCIS many times and opened SR through online and phone and got generic response every single time saying "Currently under review". With my latest SR I got message "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner." Have any one experience this? How come they not looking at October filers when applications filled months after are getting approvals.

EAD- National Benifit Center

Hello,

Here's my time line:

Applied for EAD (C)(9): 2/16/18
Got my receipt: 2/20/2018
Biometrics appointment: 3/21/18

It's been 126 days and haven't heard anything from them!

Has anyone else applied from California in February and received any good news?

Statua says Card delivered: nowhere to be found
Hi,
My timeline is as follows:
a18 California Service Centre
Posted: 28th February
Approved: 19th June

The tracker says the ‘card has been delivered in/at mailbox’ . The tracking code they have given also says the same.
However I haven’t received it. Last week I have received the Notice of action and today my SSN card, so there are no issues with the addres. I have also put a sticker with my name on the mailbox.

I am so disappointed. Has anybody heard something like this before? What should I do?

EAD, expedition, and finances
Hi everyone,

I've been looking through what people have written a bit and find it super helpful.

Here's my question and rough timeline:

Forms submitted: 4/9/18
Receipt: A few days later
Biometrics: 5/13/18

We're married and I'm the USC. No RFE (yet?). I'm a teacher and we are living in the bay area of California. I'm hoping someone understands that what I mean by that is finances are tight with him not able to work. He has not applied for a job because he does not have a work permit (and he's not really the type to surf for jobs and apply without having authorization.) He is working part-time for his home country (software developer) but the exchange rate is not helping. We are cutting into our savings pretty rapidly at this point.

My question is: do I have cause to file for financial hardship or to try to expedite the process? I'm scared hearing people say it took 200+ days (or will now take 4-6 months) and I just don't have the income to support us. Should I try to encourage him to apply for jobs even without the EAD?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Lindsey

EAD Produced - 108 Days
Thank god and this forum for the support.

I have 2 questions:

1) Has anyone lately got the EAD delivered, did they need any signature - what if you are not home?
2) I see everywhere my case status is changed to "Card is being produced" except the new DHS website. Should I worry about it? I received a text, email, checked uscis.gov and my case tracker App today.

Timeline:

PD: 03/09/2018
Biometrics: 04/07/2018
Case Ready to be scheduled for interview update (I-485): 04/19/2018
Card is Being Produced: 06/25/2018
Total: 108 days
Center: NBC
Location : Seattle

No Ombudsman/Congressman/Expediate

I still have about 5-6 weeks of STEM OPT left so I was planning to start the expediate process soon.

Waiting on EAD
Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am married to a USC and I filed my documentation March 7th and it was received by NBC on March 14th. I received a receipt, then another letter for biometric on April 17th. The website said they receive my Bio metric fees and is working on my case and there is no other update since then. Called USCIS twice to find out if they will update the website and the first time they said it is within the normal processing time. Second time I call they said they do not update the website so I just have to wait. I am in Minnesota. Can you guys please share as to when I should be receiving my EAD.

Case with officer
Can anyone comment on how long it took to get their EAD/AP once the case was assigned to an officer? My case has been "at an officers desk" (which I don't know how encouraging news this is) since June 11. The tier 2 officer on the phone that gave me this info also said they are assigning 2 weeks of cases to officers at a time, but who knows if they are reviewed within the two week period.
I am married to USC, transferring from an H1B, case pending for 146 days. Thank you!

What is taking so long?
I have been waiting over 230+days since I submitted my applications. I already completed the finger print and I got this generic answer about how i should recieve an answer shortly which was 2 months ago.

Does anybody know why is it taking so long?
